Connie went over to hug Charlene. "It's okay. Maybe it's for the best."

After breakfast, Charlene left for work.

Before moving out, although she and Thorne worked at the same place, they always left the house at different times and never commuted together.

She was tired. She only wanted to go home early to spend time with her grandmother, not work overtime.
