After The Harden Group's gala ended, Charlene and Stewart went their separate ways.
Jasmine had been staying with the Ross family for the past couple of days. Seeing her mother was finally free, she exclaimed happily, “Mom, you're finally on break! Can we go out and do something fun tomorrow?”
Charlene stroked her head. “Where would you like to go, Minnie?”
“Let me think about it and I'll tell you,” Jasmine said.
“Alright,” Charlene agreed.
The next day, Charlene took Jasmine out, but they had hardly left the house when Thorne called. He reminded Jasmine that it was Christmas Eve tomorrow, and she needed to be home by that night at the latest.
“I know, I know,” Jasmine chirped. “Mom and I will come back together tonight, right, Mom?”
Charlene had no desire to spend the holiday at the Henderson estate. But she had promised Jasmine, and the whole reason her daughter was staying with the Rosses was to wait for her to finish work so they could go home together.
After Jasmine hung up, Charlene waited until her daughter was distracted and sent Thorne a text: [Can you try to talk her out of it?]
She didn't specify what “it” was, but she was sure Thorne would understand.
His reply didn't come for a long time. When it did, it was blunt: [That's not going to work.]
Charlene frowned but didn't text him again.
She truly didn't want to go to the Henderson estate for the holidays. She looked at Jasmine and, after a long hesitation, said, “Minnie, I was hoping to spend the holiday with your great-grandmother and the family. Would you like to join me?”
“What?”
“And tomorrow,” Charlene continued, “I want to cook a meal myself for your grandma and bring it to her at the hospital...”

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
Stewart and Charlene will the best match, both power players!...
Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
