After the holidays, Charlene returned to her regular routine at PrimeStar.
A couple of days later, she was representing PrimeStar at a government conference.
Just as she arrived and was about to take her seat, she spotted Vesta Hawkins.
Vesta saw her too, but her gaze quickly darted away. Her eyes scanned the conference hall, but Thorne was nowhere to be seen.
Just when she thought he wasn't going to make it, Thorne finally appeared right as the meeting was about to begin.
Vesta breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
However, the smile that had just touched her lips faded the moment she saw him take the empty seat next to Charlene. Her expression fell, a shadow of disappointment crossing her face.
Meanwhile, Thorne settled into his chair and turned to Charlene. "Morning," he said.
Charlene hesitated for a beat. "...Morning."
Then she turned away, making it clear the conversation was over.
The meeting began shortly after, and Thorne didn't try to speak to her again.
During a mid-session break, Vesta made her way over to Thorne. "Thorne," she began.
Thorne looked up and gave her a slight nod.
Vesta asked in a gentle voice, "Do you have a moment after the meeting? There's something I need to talk to you about."
"I have another engagement right after this," he replied.
"It's okay, it will only take a few minutes," she pressed.
Thorne nodded. "Alright."
A smile returned to Vesta's face.
Charlene, just returning from the restroom, saw Thorne and Vesta talking together.
Her expression remained neutral as she headed back to her seat, but she was intercepted by several corporate representatives who struck up a conversation.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...

I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
