Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne) novel Chapter 744

Vesta nodded.

Thorne slid into the car.

The vehicle slowly pulled away from the curb.

Irma had immediately noticed Jasmine's absence at the hospital.

However, she had been too blinded by rage at the time to interrogate Thorne about it.

Today was her grandfather's discharge day, and it was a Saturday. Logically, Jasmine should have been there.

The only reason the little girl would be missing was likely because—

Sitting in the moving car, the thought reignited Irma's fury. She turned to Thorne with a livid expression. "Did you intentionally keep Jasmine in the dark about her grandfather's discharge just so you could bring her along?"

Thorne remained perfectly calm. "Jasmine is competing in the Fencing Open Championship. It was scheduled a long time ago."

Irma faltered for a second.

But she quickly scoffed. "If Jasmine were here today, things probably would have played out exactly as you wanted."

She said this because she knew she wouldn't have been able to lay into Vesta in front of her great-granddaughter. If Jasmine had defended Vesta, Irma would have been forced to swallow her anger and save the argument for behind closed doors.

In that scenario, Vesta might have actually succeeded in coming back to the Henderson estate with them.

Before Thorne could respond, a sudden realization hit Irma. "Wait, if Jasmine is at her championship today, did Charlene take her?"

"Yes," Thorne confirmed.

Irma took a sharp breath. "So Charlene is busy taking care of your daughter at a competition and couldn't be here to welcome your father home, and you used that exact opportunity to parade that woman through the hospital? You—"

Before she could finish her tirade, Thorne's phone began to ring.

He glanced at the screen and held it up. "Let me take this. You can finish yelling at me afterward."

Irma was left absolutely speechless.
