After a brief moment of surprise, he simply looked away.
Charlene also pretended not to know them. She and Gaylord took a different elevator, though they ended up crossing paths again on the upper floor.
His throat felt tight, and his expression was grim. His fingers gripped the coffee cup so hard his knuckles turned white. "My hand slipped," he lied. "I almost dropped Mr. Ramirez's laptop, so it gave me a scare."
His colleague had only asked in passing and didn't press the issue.
Raleigh lowered his head. When his coworker wasn't looking, he discreetly unlocked his phone, angling the screen out of sight to open the copied photos.
He didn't know if Dalton had taken these pictures himself or if someone had sent them to him. But Thorne and Charlene were wearing different outfits in the shots, meaning the pictures were taken on different days. Whoever captured this had caught their illicit affair more than once.
EchoWave and PrimeStar Technologies were business partners, yet whether it was at the tech conference a few days ago or just moments earlier in the lobby, Dalton had treated Charlene with icy indifference, acting like complete strangers.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
