Once the hopeful father and daughter walked away, Kelvin patted Dalton on the chest and teased, "That girl's looks and personality seemed right up your alley. Are you sure you won't even consider it?"

Dalton frowned. "Stay out of it."

Kelvin genuinely cared about his friend. He cast a quick glance toward Vesta and Thorne, then lowered his voice. "You can't keep doing this. Even though Thorne is having an affair... he still treats Ms. Hawkins pretty well overall. They probably won't break up anytime soon. Are you just going to wait in silence until the day they finally call it quits?"

Dalton shifted his gaze to Vesta as well. Pulling his eyes away, he said flatly, "I'm not waiting."

Kelvin stared at him blankly.

He called bullshit on that.

If Vesta and Thorne actually split up, his buddy would undoubtedly be the very first in line to make a move.

Kelvin pressed on, "Why don't you just tell her about Thorne's affair outright? Even if you don't want to do it face-to-face, you could just anonymously send those photos to her inbox. How she handles the fallout would be entirely up to her.

Besides, I feel like a woman like Vesta would dump him immediately once she found out about his betrayal. Then, your window of opportunity would finally swing wide open, right?"

Dalton remained silent.

The more Kelvin talked, the more convinced he became of his own brilliance. Excitement lacing his voice, he turned to York. "York, doesn't that make perfect sense?"

York's eyes had been glued to Charlene the entire time.

Hearing his name, he finally looked away and gave a slow nod.

Putting everything else aside, exposing Thorne's infidelity to Vesta wasn't exactly a terrible idea.

In truth, the thought had crossed Dalton's mind a long time ago.

The only reason he hadn't pulled the trigger was his belief that Vesta was deeply in love with Thorne. If he dropped that kind of bombshell on her abruptly, he feared she wouldn't be able to handle the devastation.
