Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne) novel Chapter 801

Stewart supported Charlene as they turned and headed for the stairs.

Granger, York, and Gaylord stood rooted in place, watching them go.

They weren't the only ones watching. Vesta and Thorne had seen the whole thing unfold.

When the accident happened, Vesta had been looking right at Charlene. She hadn't missed the frantic, desperate concern on the faces of Granger, Gaylord, and York as they scrambled to her side.

However, she knew Thorne hadn't noticed any of it, as he had been deep in conversation at the time.

He only glanced over after hearing the commotion.

As she watched him now, he casually withdrew his gaze from Charlene and Stewart's retreating figures and seamlessly resumed his networking, completely unbothered.

Vesta's lips curved into a triumphant smirk.

Once Charlene was out of sight, York finally looked away.

Dalton walked over, about to speak, but an old family friend approached York, striking up a conversation. Dalton had no choice but to hold his tongue.

Moran Albright, who had been chatting nearby, hadn't noticed Granger's desperate sprint to the rescue.

Unaware of the details, he strolled up to Granger, looking at the mess of glass and Charlene's disappearing silhouette. "What happened?"

Granger replied tightly, "A kid ran into a waiter. Charlene caught the crossfire and got a little banged up."

Moran, who couldn't care less about Charlene, just gave a dismissive, "Oh."

Upstairs, a doctor examined Charlene's ankle. It was just a minor sprain. Once she swapped her heels for flats, she could walk normally.

After changing her dress and touching up her makeup, she and Stewart headed back down.

Dr. Lucas rushed over immediately to check on her.
