The last time they had all gone sailing, Granger had already noticed that something was weighing heavily on the girl. Even then, he had suspected it had something to do with the night of Dr. Lucas's gala.
In other words, it likely involved the complicated web between Jasmine, Charlene, Thorne, and Vesta.
Thinking this over, his gaze shifted between Thorne and his daughter. Despite the topic of her bad mood being brought up, Thorne hadn't said a word to defend or comfort her. The utter lack of communication between the two solidified his theory: Jasmine's unhappiness was directly tied to Charlene and Vesta.
Catching on, he wisely refrained from probing further and smoothly changed the subject.
As dinner wound down and Jasmine stepped away to the restroom, Granger finally asked Thorne, "Did you two have a fight?"
Moran had noticed the exact same thing throughout the meal.
