The Wuhua Domain was on high alert, the atmosphere tense.
Disciples were everywhere holding torches, searching in all directions. This time, they were no longer blindly hunting; they clearly knew what the person they were looking for looked like.
In one place, Mu Tianyin was hiding in the dark together with Mu Lin and Mu Shan, evading pursuit. The flames swayed as they swept past their hiding spot.
Only after the torchlight faded and darkness returned did the three hidden figures dare to move slightly.
They had fled outward in time, but they hadn’t expected to be discovered before getting very far. This sudden increase in searchers was definitely meant to catch them.
"Young Master, it seems those people have already woken up." Mu Lin voiced his guess in a low, heavy tone.
His words made Mu Tianyin’s gloomy, terrifying gaze fall onto Mu Shan.
Mu Shan’s breath hitched. He lowered his eyes in silence, avoiding Mu Tianyin’s gaze. He hadn’t expected things to turn out like this; back then he hadn’t killed those people simply because he felt it unnecessary. With the drug he’d used, at the very least they shouldn’t have woken up until half a month after the Wuhua God Emperor’s birthday celebration ended.
By then, they would have finished their business and fled far away.
But who could have predicted one accident after another, and that those people would be found by the Wuhua Domain and brought back.
And now they had even woken up!
"How could it be like this?" Mu Shan asked himself in his heart. The development of this matter had far exceeded his expectations.
"Mu Shan, I really want to kill you." Mu Tianyin said to him viciously.
Mu Shan’s heart jolted; he lowered his head even further and said in a deep voice, "Please punish me, Young Master!"
"Punish?" Mu Tianyin let out a cold laugh, his features twisting slightly as he said, "Do you think you can still escape punishment?"
His words made Mu Shan’s blood turn to ice.
Mu Tianyin shifted his gaze away and no longer paid him any attention. After a short pause, he said coldly, "I already tried just now. This space has been sealed with a Forbidden Technique by the Wuhua God Emperor; we can’t use escape-type Magic Artifacts."
"Then what do we do?" Mu Lin exclaimed in shock.
Mu Tianyin snorted coldly. "That can’t stump me. We head toward the exit. The closer we get, the weaker the Forbidden Technique’s power. As long as we reach a place where the Magic Artifact can be activated, this Wuhua Palace still won’t be able to trap me. It’s just a pity..." As he spoke, a shadow passed through his eyes.
A pity that he hadn’t achieved the purpose of coming here. Not only had he failed to find the Divine Strategy Lower Volume, he hadn’t even gotten the chance to kill that Mu Qingge whom he despised and hated so deeply!
And that woman Chu Nian...
Mu Tianyin was extremely frustrated, feeling like he’d been running into walls over and over, his mood foul to the extreme.
"Young Master, since that’s the case, let’s go over there now." Mu Lin whispered.
The gloom in Mu Tianyin’s eyes was pressed down. He stepped out from their hiding spot and headed toward the exit of the Wuhua Domain. Mu Lin and Mu Shan followed closely, keeping a sharp watch on the movements around them.
Mu Qingge had said that the reason the Mu Clan had managed to cling to life and avoid extermination by the Four Seas Divine Land up to this day meant that the greatest skill they’d honed over the last ten thousand years was escape.
Although it had been half a joke and half a taunt, it was also Mu Qingge’s assessment.
So Mu Qingge wasn’t worried in the least that Mu Tianyin would fail to reach the exit, or fail to escape this Wuhua Palace.
