Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Withered Flowers, Wounded Bodies (Part 1)

Editor: Atlas Studios

The He Family is affiliated with Prince Rui.

And Prince Rui’s mother, the noble Consort Jiang, is the Emperor’s most favored concubine. Though Prince Rui has not attained the position of Crown Prince, he is even more favored by the Emperor than the Crown Prince.

As long as the Emperor is around, who can say for sure who the Crown Prince is?

Though Shao Fatty’s father holds the post of Capital Commandant, he still finds it difficult to contend with the He Family. In dealing with He Cheng, the He Family may not dare to trouble the Mu Family, but that doesn’t mean they won’t use the Shao Family as a scapegoat.

This logic, Mu Ge does not believe Shao Fatty cannot see through.

Yet, he still stands by him unwaveringly, hence she said he was quite a character.

"Fatty, instruct your servant to go to the Mu Mansion," Mu Ge said to Shao Fatty, squinting slightly. She realized the inconvenience of not bringing anyone with her when she ventured out.

Shao Fatty’s eyes darted, and he nodded to Mu Ge without asking further questions, then turned and left.

Currently, He Cheng is being held at the Mu Mansion by Mu Xiong, who hasn’t made things too difficult for him. After all, He Cheng is just a youth, and with Mu Xiong’s stature, capturing him is already somewhat disreputable.

"You can’t kill him, but you can toy with him however you like. If Prince Rui wants him, I’ll give him to you. I’m very generous!" Mu Ge leaned against the back of the chair, a cold gleam flashing in her narrowed eyes, though her lips bore a bright smile.

After Fatty instructed the servant to leave, he returned to the room to see Mu Ge with a cold smile on her face, causing all the fat on his body to shiver involuntarily.

Swallowing hard, Shao Fatty bent over and sidled up to Mu Ge, whispering, "Boss, what should we do next?"

"Go bring the madam here for me. As for the rest, you don’t need to worry," Mu Ge nodded and instructed.

Unexpectedly, Shao Fatty’s beady eyes widened, and he straightened his back to oppose: "How is that okay? We agreed that I would help you deal with that bastard He Cheng!"
