At that moment, Victor had a strange feeling. But he did not pay attention to it. He just passed by the corridor. Although he was wearing a school uniform, his handsome and tall figure made a lot of girls gasp and exclaimed, saying that he was so handsome. Hearing their voices, Elinor and Rankin looked over and saw Victor's cold face. Elinor was stunned a little.
Then, Victor seemed to sense her eyes and looked over at her. Elinor went pale a little and held her breath.
Then she heard the whispers, "Oh my God! Senior Victor looked over!"
"He seems to be looking in the direction of Class A Senior 2. Is he looking at me?"
"You think so... He must be looking at me!"
In the middle of all kinds of voices, Elinor was the only one who tried to get rid of the scene. She slowly retracted back inside the room. And Rankin found it amusing to see her listless look. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"I feel like I have been taught a lesson by Victor."
Elinor sighed and leaned on her table, "He just gave me that look. It was like he was warning me."
"Well," Rankin leaned against the window. Watching Elinor shrink back into her seat like a bunny, he felt a little funny, "I'll go back to class then. Take your time to be melancholy."
Elinor muttered, "Every time you came to me, I would get that kind of look from him when we got home..."
Rankin was stunned when he heard this.
He stopped in his tracks and turned around abruptly, "What did you say?"
Elinor was taken aback by Rankin's sudden change of attitude, "What's wrong?"
"You and Victor live together?"
Lowering his voice, Rankin changed his expression, "Is it true? Or, is this a kind of joke?"
"What would I joke about something like that..."
Elinor was a truthful girl. She didn't think it was strange to live with Victor. Despite all the new and old grudges between her and Victor, objectively speaking, they grew up together. Because the school was far away from her home, Quincy bought a villa near the school. Later, Victor moved into her house. Both of their parents thought it would be more secure for them.
So, Elinor had actually been living with Victor since fifth grade in elementary school. And it was already a part of her life. But she never thought it would be shocking news to others.
Rankin huffed, "Victor never told me that..."
"He doesn't allow me to talk about it to others."
Elinor looked down and chuckled at herself, "He thought it would affect his reputation. I was acutely aware of that too, so I never said a word to the others. I just thought you knew that. Didn't Victor tell you?"
Rankin shook his head, "No... He would change his look as soon as I mentioned something about you."
Elinor's expression changed a little. Then she raised a fixed smile, saying, "Is that so? Actually, he gives me a cold look all the time. Just get used to it."
"Even if he treats you like this forever, will you still like him?"
After Rankin asked this question, he suddenly felt that the answer was no longer important.
Because every time Elinor looked at Victor's back, she looked so sincere. It was like she would even grab her heart out and give it to him. And she would still love him even if he broke her heart.
But...
Rankin swallowed a little.
"Go to the back door."
Victor whispered.
"Sure." Carney drove away. The luxurious business car drove away in the envious eyes of his schoolmates. Later, it quietly came to the back door of the school. Carney pulled the car and opened the back door of the car.
Elinor just arrived in a hurry and was a little surprised to see Carney. But soon she reacted to her senses and greeted her, "Uncle Carney!"
"Good evening, Elinor," Carney smiled and pulled open the door, "Get in. I'm your driver today."
"Thank you."
Elinor bowed and got in. Just as she got into the car, she changed her expression a little. She became a little cautious and glanced at Victor apprehensively.
Victor was still handsome. However, his look was so cold that others didn't dare to approach him. When he noticed Elinor watching himself, Victor sneered, "What is it?"
Elinor clutched her uniform skirt to make her voice sound the same as usual. But when she spoke, her voice exposed her nervousness... "I feel like you're not in a very good mood."
Victor paused.
He sneered coldly again as a reply.
He didn't act politely to Elinor even though Carney was there.
Carney could only pretend he didn't see it. After all, he felt pity about what was going on between Victor and Elinor. He could only focus on driving. Then, he heard Victor saying sarcastically in the back seat, "When did you become so familiar with Rankin?"
