Jarvis said that in a nearly begging humble way.
He really didn't think Queenie would leave. He always thought no matter how far he went, she would not leave him.
Jarvis was frozen on the spot by Lenard's remarks. He felt a hollow in his chest. The cold wind kept blowing in, making him feel bone-chilling all over.
Lenard felt helpless and shook his head, "I can't change your mind. Jarvis, you are really hopeless."
Jarvis was silent with red eyes. His back figure was like a still statue, like he was the last person in the world.
Later, Lenard asked Babur for some sobering pills for Jarvis. He was afraid that Jarvis really had some trouble drinking too much. But at that time, Jarvis, who was silent for a while, suddenly coughed heavily.
He did not vomit anything. He was just retching. It made the others scared. He was cramping. His face was so pale.
Dixon caught the blood in Jarvis' palm while Jarvis was covering his mouth with his hand.
"Take him to the hospital!"
Babur shouted, "He's got alcoholism! Lenard!"
Lenard immediately came over to help. Dixon grabbed the car keys, "No. Get him out of here now..."
"No." Jarvis looked like a dead man. He was about to pass out. But he was still holding on, "I'm not going to the hospital... I just want Queenie back..."
Lenard wanted to slap Jarvis to make him realize the reality. But he knew that wouldn't work. So, he could only forcefully take Jarvis away, "You're fucking dying! You still think about Queenie?"
Dixon gritted his teeth, "Drag him to the car. I'll take him to the Center Hospital."
The Center Hospital was where Lenard worked.
"Why would I have been there?" Dixon froze and after a moment cursed, "My situation is different from Jarvis! It's not the same thing!"
"What's different?"
"The attitude of admitting wrongdoing." Dixon said shamelessly, "You see, Jarvis obviously doesn't realize his fault till now."
Lenard found it tricky and sighed, "You're all like that. You only know the pain when you lose the one beside you. If you didn't act like a jerk, you wouldn't be in this situation."
Dixon looked out the window, "Yeah... We are all jerks. I miss Sonia again."
Lenard froze, "Why are you saying that all of a sudden?"
Dixon turned his head. A handsome smile appeared on his handsome face. Probably because he thought of Sonia, his eyes were shining, "I want to go to W City to have dinner with her."
