Chapter 232 Drama Over Dinner
Dario scratched the back of his head, bashful. “No, no. You taught in well. I wouldn’t have known what to do myself.”
As they chatted, everyone filled their bowls and started eating.
Elmer complained white chewing, “What was that disaster late at noon? Even a stray dog would’ve turned its nose sp
Edwin, already stuffing another bite into his mouth, shot back, “If even dogs wouldn’t eat it, what does that make you unce still ate it? Worse than a dog?”
Elmer glared at him. “You served us that pile of nightmares for lunch. It’s a miracle we didn’t end up with foar poisoning should be grateful we’re still alive, not talking back!”
“You all said you didn’t know how to cook! I only stepped up because no one else would. And now you’ve got opinions?” Edwin retorted.
The bickering escalated, spilling over into petty snatching-one grabbed a piece of food with his cutlery, the other tried to steal it mid-air. Chaos, but lively.
Holly picked up a piece of stir-fried pork, puffing out her cheeks. “Who cooked this? The meat’s overdone.
Kenneth raised a brow. “I cooked it. Got a problem?”
She huffed. “I’m just giving feedback. Why are you yelling? Can’t I say anything?”
Kenneth had never liked Holly to begin with. He shot back, “You didn’t lift a finger all day, and you still think you get to complain? Be grateful you have food at all. If you’re so capable, how about you cook tomorrow?”
Holly immediately recoiled. “I’m a girl! Don’t be ridiculous!”
“How am I being ridiculous? Tell me-what did you actually do today? You didn’t even carry your own backpack. We’re in survival training, and you still act like you’re some precious treasure.” He snorted and turned away, presenting her with the back of his head.
Holly trembled with anger, then looked straight at Linden. “Captain, aren’t you going to do something? He yelled at me!”
Ava had always found the girls in her own squad pretty easy to get along with. Running into someone like prolly for the first time, she instinctively glanced at Malory.
Malory caught her look, shrugged, and mouthed silently: Bratty princess.
Linden only wanted to eat his dinner in peace, not play referee. But he’d been called out; there was no escape. He sighed. “Holly, that’s just who Kenneth is. He wasn’t yelling at you.”
“Even you are taking his side? Did you not see the way he talked to me? He looked like he was going to bite my head off! Make him apologize!”
Kenneth turned back around, utterly exasperated. “You’re unbelievable. What did i say that was wrong? You did nothing all day, got fed, and still complained! Who do you think you are? A princess? If you love being a princess so much, maybe don’t join military training!”
His voice rose, frustration spilling out of him.

Chapter 232 Diama
“You See? 5667” Holly cried, eyes welling with tears. “And you say he wasn’t yelling? You all think I’m dragging the team down You all hate me, don’t you?”
Ava immediately grabbed a few more bites of food and slipped away. Malory rushed after her, and the rest of the guys followed suit, pretending not to hear anything
Linden felt a headache coming on. Faced with tears, he forced down his irritation. “Holly, stop crying. Kenneth, you too–watch your mouth.”
Being captain is a nightmare, he thought as his temples throbbed.
But Kenneth refused to back down. “I’m not apologizing. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
He walked off as well, leaving Linden alone with Holly, who was now sobbing like a tragic damsel-in-distress. Linden looked around at his squad, internally cursing his luck.
Holly, seeing everyone avoiding her, cried harder-alternating between cursing Kenneth and accusing Linden of favoring the guys.
