“I know,” Ryan responded. “I’m still waiting for the rest of the details.”

Ava opened the file he sent and paused in confusion. She then asked, “I thought this was only for promotional photos. Why is there a script?”

‘We added a short promo film. It won’t be very long,” Oscar explained.

“The wardrobe isn’t just silk dresses anymore. There’ll be a few other styles as well. After discussing it, we decided to cut a short promotional video too. You won’t have many lines.”

After a brief pause, she replied, “Let me go through it first.”

Oscar rebutted, “Ms. Morren, nobody watches proper promo films anymore. We can’t help it. That’s what the market wants. If we want attention, the plot has to be dramatic enough to hook people.”

“I only agreed because of Mr. Mett,” Ava countered. “I was moved by how sincere he was. That doesn’t mean I’ll accept a script where the female lead is basically just a prop. If this is the final version, then I’ll explain things to Mr. Mett myself. I’m sure he’ll understand.”

Upon seeing that, Oscar asked, “You’re quitting now? You already signed the contract. Filming is about to start, and now you’re packing out?”

Ava replied, “If you insist on using this script, then I’ll pay the cancellation fee.”

On the other end, Oscar gritted his teeth and cursed her for not appreciating the opportunity.
