Ava read through a few pages, then stopped. There were too many replies, and staring at them was making her eyes ache.

There were more than enough people dragging herin that thread. She noticed right away that the most vicious comments were all coming from anonymous users. After reading several especially nasty ones, she almost laughed out of anger.

But the thread was still climbing.

In no time, another fresh page of comments appeared.

Back in the small group chat, everyone was tagging her again and again.

Ava exited the forum, returned to the group chat, and typed, “It’s true that I didn’t enter through the SAT route, and it’s also true that I’m not a direct admission student. I am living in Orchid Court right now, so those parts are factual. But everything else they’re inventing about me is false.”
