Ava gave a small smile. “Queenie, I honestly don’t mind those comments. I know myself. Once I start worrying about how strangers perceive me, I’m handing them control over my emotions.”

“I’m still thankful that you care,” Ava replied. “My reputation is a disaster right now, yet you still came to check on me. Most people wouldn’t.”

Since Starry Heavens University was founded, only a few freshmen have been able to move into Orchid Court immediately after enrolling. It’s rare. You managed it, and some people just can’t accept that. It makes them feel inferior.

“People tend to behave that way. Some freshmen have lived in Orchid Court before, yet they choose to ignore it. However, once it concerns you, they scrutinize every detail. To them, you seem like the easiest target.

Ava looked at Queenie quietly.
