Chapter 70 A Medical Miracle
Claire looked at the thick stack of test reports in her hands and spoke to everyone.
“Based on the test results alone, there’s nothing wrong. There’s also no sign of impact or damage to the brain. To be safe, should stay in the hospital for observation.”
Jonathan looked at Asher.
“Are you sure Jolene used primal power on your sister?”
“I’m sure. Her pupils were completely unfocused. I can tell whether primal power was used.” Asher looked Ava up and dow it strange, too. Normally, when an ordinary person is hurt by an Awakened, the outcome is always bad. My sister is a medic miracle.”
Jonathan thought he was talking nonsense and slapped him across the face.
“Shut your d*mn mouth! Don’t curse your sister! Call Jane on video. I want to know what is going on over there right now.”
Ashet immediately made a video call to Jane.
The moment jane saw his face, he started cursing again.
Jonathan cut in. “Jane, have you confirmed whether Jolene really used primal power?”
When Jane saw that Jonathan was there, she finally let Asher off.
“Cassius used special detection methods on her. It’s confirmed that she did use primal power. I’m going to see her myself later dared to hurt my sister. By the way, Grandpa, how is Ava?”
“Claire reviewed the results. Ava’s fine. Her brain is alright.”
“That really is a blessing in disguise. Alright, Grandpa, I’m hanging up. Cassius is here. I’ll ask him a bit more and update you lat
Claire looked at Ava and asked again, “Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere else?”
Ava shook her head.
“Mrs. Holcomb, I’m really fine. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all.”
“That makes this even stranger. Is this really a medical miracle?” Claire also found it hard to understand. A normal person had bee hurt by an Awakened, yet there was no injury at all.
Seeing how serious everyone looked, Ava asked carefully.
“Mrs. Holcomb, what usually happens to an ordinary woman who’s hurt by an Awakened?”
“In most cases, the brain tissue is completely destroyed, like a storm tearing through. There’s almost no chance of survival: Claire spread her hands. “That’s why your case is unheard of. You’re not an Awakened. There’s no power core in your brain. That’s why this is very strange.”

Ava let out a quiet breath of relief. She felt lucky because she had almost died. “Mrs. Holcomb, will someone drag me off to b up for research because of this?”
She suddenly felt nervous. If no ordinary person had ever survived this before, she felt like a walking target.
“What are you thinking?” Claire laughed. “Don’t be scared. No one’s going to send you for research. However, the police now evidence that Jolene used primal power on you. They may ask you some questions later. Your family will probably handle it.”
Jonathan patted her shoulder.
“You’ll be fine. Even if something really happens, our family can protect you.”
Ava stayed quiet for a moment. She looked up at Jonathan and felt that she might not need to keep her secret anymore.
“Great–uncle Jonathan, there’s something I never told you. Grandpa might not have told you either. I think I have some kind of elemental power. I discovered it by accident when I was sixteen. Grandpa told me not to tell anyone, so I kept it to myself.”
After saying it out loud, Ava felt lighter.
Jonathan looked at her in shock.
“Elemental power? Are you sure?”
Ava frowned.
“It might be elemental power. I’m not completely sure.”
“For thousands of years, there has never been a case of a woman awakening elemental power,” Claire said seriously. “Ava, if you really awakened elemental power, you would be the first in history.”
Ava still felt unsure.
“I’m not certain. Could you explain what elemental power actually is?”
“Elemental power includes metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, and lightning. It usually appears only in men with high mental power. The elemental power and its owner nourish each other.” Asher continued. “My elemental power is water.”
As he spoke, he closed his hand in the air. An ice–blue spear appeared in his palm.
Ava stared at it with wide eyes. She realized she hadn’t imagined it before.
The spear shifted and turned into a long whip, then a water dragon, and finally a flower. It vanished from his hand.
Ava stood there, completely stunned.
“So, this is elemental power.”
Asher nodded.
“Then, mine probably isn’t elemental power,” she said in frustration. “I don’t have any weapon, and it can’t turn into one either”
