Using a child to make the announcement, Aveline was truly shameless.
Jane didn’t know what Josie was thinking and assumed she was unwilling to talk, so she scoffed, “If you don’t want to say, then forget it.”
Josie replied, “It’s not that I don’t want to say, it’s just that my sister has a problem with me, so it’s not my place to talk about her affairs.”
Jane asked, “I just want to know, what exactly is her relationship with Xavier?”
“Logically, if Brielle’s daughter calls her ‘aunt‘, it should mean she and Xavier are married. Even if they’re not married, they should have a close relationship, like boyfriend and girlfriend or fiancés.”
“But there haven’t been any public announcements about Aveline and Xavier getting engaged or married, and besides…”
Besides, there were rumors a while back that Xavier was throwing money around to promote Josie as a director, even letting her shoot a commercial at the’s new mall.
If Xavier was really close to Aveline, and Aveline couldn’t stand her half–sister, how could she possibly allow Xavier to be so good to Josie?
Of course, Jane would never say these things to Josie.
Josie didn’t know what Jane was thinking and said with a smile, “I’m just like you, I don’t know anything either.”
“Maybe the child was just calling her whatever.”
Hearing this, Jane wondered if Josie meant that Aveline had told Lily to call her that.
But the adults should have stopped her. How could they let a child use the wrong titles?
Josie glanced at Jane, thinking to herself that this heiress was a real idiot.
Fiona and Jasmine had been playing for almost two hours, and they were coming off the court.
Fiona handed her racket to Brielle, “Brielle, do you want to play?”

Brielle shook her head, “Jason’s hand is injured, so there’s no one to play with me Forget it ”
Frona gestured toward Leona, Josie, and Jane, “Aren’t there other people here?”
So Brielle turned to ask Leona, “Leona, do you want to play?”
Leona didn’t actually like playing tennis. If it weren’t for setting up Jason and Jane, she wouldn’t have come here today.
She shook her head, but asked Josie, “Josie, do you want to play?”
Josie thought it would be boring to play with Brielle; it would only be fun to play with Xavier, Jason, or Sebastian.
So she also shook her head, “I’m not feeling well today, I won’t play.”
Fiona gave a contemptuous smile and sat down with Jasmine to have some water.
She could see right through Josie’s intentions. If she were playing with Xavier, she wouldn’t be feeling unwell.
Half an hour later, Brielle checked the time. It was already time for lunch, so she shouted to the court, telling Xavier and Sebastian to take a break and go eat first.
After one last serve, Xavier and Sebastian finished. They exchanged a look, and Sebastian said
with a smile:
“Mr. Beltran, your skills are truly exceptional.”
Xavier said calmly, “A narrow victory.”
From their exchange, it was clear that even though no one was keeping score on the sidelines, they had both been silently tracking the points, and Xavier had narrowly beaten Sebastian.
Brielle smiled and said to Jason, “It’s impressive that Mr. Harmon could play such a close game with Xavier.”
Jason looked indifferent and said nothing.
Leona handed a bottle of water to Josephine. “Go on, give this to Xavier.”
Leona saw the hesitation on Josephine’s face and encouraged her, “Don’t be afraid, everyone’s here. Go on.”
Josephine took the bottle of water and walked toward Xavier.

Jane saw this, gave Leona a deep look, and understood that Leona was trying to set Josephine up
with Xavier.
Jane was completely confused now, unable to figure out the relationship between the sisters of the Beltran and Sutton families.
Josephine walked quickly to Xavier and handed him the water. “Xav, have some water.”
Xavier was wiping sweat with a towel. He gave her a cold glance, said nothing, and walked over to Fiona, picking up a water bottle from the small table.
He recognized it as the water bottle Aveline always carried with her; she had been using it for two or three years.
Fiona didn’t expect him to take Aveline’s water bottle. She was startled, then said with a cold face, “Xavier, that’s not your water bottle.”
Xavier said flatly, “I’m taking it precisely because I know whose it is.”
After saying that, he opened it and started drinking.

When is the novel ending? It’s so unnecessarily long… not a single intimacy or connection just fighting and bickering from the beginning to end...
