Xiang Yu stood there caught in the electrifying moment that was playing out like a scene from a romantic film. The memory was captured clearly, and he couldn’t even deny that it was him.
He saw the unsuspecting Han Xin lean down towards him. With their faces inches apart, they locked lips. While Han Xin was focused on feeding him medicine, his unconscious self was taking advantage of him.
He saw Han Xin’s eyes widen with disbelief when he felt something was wrong. Xiang Yu’s eyes were as wide as Han Xin’s right now. He was shocked by the boldness he didn’t know he possessed. He saw his fingers find their way to Han Xin’s nape, brushing against the fine strands of hair before pulling the man down preventing him from escaping.
"Fuck," he swore under his breath witnessing how greedy he was. While watching he could almost feel the warmth radiating from Han Xin’s skin beneath his fingertips as they danced across the man’s neck. He was even shameless enough to use his tongue.
He even had the audacity to moan while sucking this man dry. It was as though he was trying to suck the soul out of him. When Han Xin tried to run, he bit him. This explained the lip hickey on Han Xin’s lower lip. Recalling how he accused him of going to the brothel and locking lips with a courtesan, Xiang Yu wished he could go back in time and slap himself in the face. Dang, this shit was embarrassing.
Xiang Yu couldn’t even defend himself. The case was closed. He was without a doubt guilty but that didn’t mean he didn’t try. He wasn’t without shame. In fact, he felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him, but he maintained a brave front in front of the Divine Emperor.
"I was loopy and didn’t know what was happening," he said, trying to sound nonchalant. "I felt lips on mine and probably just kissed him back."
The Divine Emperor’s fury was palpable, but he knew there was little he could do. He felt foolish for trusting Xiang Yu, a half-demon, to help him retrieve his son’s soul fragments. Desperation had clouded his judgment.
His pure son, who had refrained from earthly desires, was now tainted by this half-blood, but what could this old father do except accept the situation? "What is your plan now that Han Xin is interested in you while you are disguised as Peng Xiu?" he demanded. Xiang Yu had said he had a solution so he wanted to hear it.
Xiang Yu smiled confidently. "It’s not a problem. All I have to do is show him who I really am. That would scar him for life and problem solved. How about it? Good plan, right?"
The Divine Emperor sighed, exasperated. "Fine, I won’t interfere for the time being," he said, "but no more kissing... or touching. Keep your lips to yourself." After saying that he disappeared while grumbling under his breath. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
Left alone, Xiang Yu squatted on the ground while hugging his head. He couldn’t help but feel bewildered. He hadn’t realised he had such special interests.
As he walked deeper into the woods, something flickered in the corner of his eye. It was a figure bathed in the soft moonlight. His breath caught as he squinted into the distance having recognised who it was.
Han Xin hesitated before moving closer, instinctively keeping his distance. Perhaps now he would uncover her true purpose. But instead of discovering some hidden motive or clandestine rendezvous, he saw her sit down with her back against a tree, her silhouette painted by the silvery beams cascading through the branches.
What met his gaze was pure serenity. She had closed her eyes and appeared so peaceful like she was meditating.
Han Xin was curious as to what she was doing, but he decided not to disturb her and wait until she got up. However, as time passed and she remained unmoving, worry crept in. He approached cautiously, apologizing for disturbing her, but she didn’t respond.
He crouched down before her, a mere breath away and peered into her face illuminated by the soft moonlight. He began to worry when the realisation dawned on him that she hadn’t stirred even slightly since he arrived.
"Your Highness?" he called out, his voice breaking through the stillness, but there was no response. She remained tranquil like her soul had left her body. At that thought, panic immediately set in. He tried to shake her awake, but she remained unresponsive.
