Mei asked, "Master, where are you going?"
"I am going to catch someone for Han Xin. Now don’t make trouble for Little Bai, okay?" Xiang Yu replied.
The twins nodded, and Xiang Yu said, "I will be back by morning," before grabbing his keys and walking out.
As soon as the door closed, Lian and Mei turned their attention back to Little Bai, who trembled slightly under their gaze. They were so little but terrifying.
Lian said, "Brother Bai, do you know how we can help Master get us a new mum?"
Mei chimed in, "But our new mum should be a man."
Little Bai, "..."
While Lian and Mei were discovering the world of dating apps, Xiang Yu had gone to his office to pack a few things, including some New Year’s firecrackers. The Divine Emperor, ever curious, asked him why he was taking those. Xiang Yu simply replied, "It might come in handy," before heading out.
As he drove, he asked the Divine Emperor, "Where is he?" referring to Die Liang, the illegitimate child of the Die clan leader who had been kept hidden.
The Divine Emperor responded in his mind, "He is at this address. He is protected by several bodyguards and will be very difficult to lure out."
Xiang Yu saw the address in his mind and took a sharp left, heading in that direction. He parked his car a few streets over and walked five minutes to the nightclub where Die Liang was. Xiang Yu was fairly certain that the Die clan leader had instructed Die Liang to stay at his safe house, but of course, he wouldn’t listen.
"You will help me with the cameras, right? That is the least you can do," Xiang Yu said to the Divine Emperor in his mind.
"I can’t interfere," the Divine Emperor replied.
"Will you stop with the ’I can’t interfere’ nonsense?" Xiang Yu imitated the Divine Emperor’s voice mockingly.
"I don’t sound like that," the Divine Emperor retorted.
"Not to me, old man. I am doing this for your son. The least you can do is make the cameras malfunction so that Peng Xiu won’t come knocking on my door again."
"Fine," the Divine Emperor conceded, before asking, "Did you pay for your traffic fines?"
Xiang Yu, "..."
"Stop nagging. I will pay for it," he said as he walked towards Die Liang’s cars parked in the lot. There he found a man smoking and keeping a casual watch over the vehicles. The guard seemed quite relaxed. Xiang Yu snuck up from behind and put him in a chokehold, knocking him out. He dragged the unconscious man behind another car, farthest from the others, and then returned to stab the tyres of each car before leaving.
He needed to lure Die Liang out, so he entered the bustling nightclub. Squeezing his way to the bar, he spotted Die Liang in the VIP section, surrounded by women and enjoying himself. Xiang Yu smiled, having found his target. He ordered a virgin mojito and, while waiting for it, a series of explosions erupted in the nightclub, causing people to scream and run in panic.
"I still think your method is childish," the Divine Emperor said in his mind.
Xiang Yu smirked, his handsome features briefly illuminated by the moonlight. He moved to the next target, repeating the process with the same deadly accuracy. One by one, the bodyguards fell. He moved with the grace of a panther, his every action deliberate and controlled. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

The Divine Emperor’s voice came again, "Someone is coming."
Xiang Yu quickly pulled the trigger, shooting one more bodyguard before the door burst open and a huge man, twice his size, lunged forward with a growl.
He swore under his breath as he fired at the man, but it was too late. The man grabbed the muzzle of the dart gun just as Xiang Yu pulled the trigger, flinging the gun away with a powerful motion. In an instant, the man’s massive hands were around Xiang Yu’s neck, lifting him off the ground. Xiang Yu’s face turned red, veins throbbing as the grip tightened like a vice.
Desperate, Xiang Yu reached for his handgun and fired at the man’s toes. The man cried out in pain, releasing his grip. Xiang Yu fell to the ground, gasping for air and struggling to get up. The man, now bleeding, rammed into Xiang Yu like a raging bull, slamming him into the wall. Xiang Yu’s ears rang, and blood dripped down his temples, leaving him in a daze.
The man pulled out his gun, but he was much slower than Xiang Yu, who quickly aimed and shot him in the abdomen. The man cried out, pressing his hand against the wound. Xiang Yu got up, holding his head while gripping the handgun tightly.
"I don’t want to kill you, but if you get up, I will," Xiang Yu warned, his voice cold and steady.
The man, not wanting to die for a job, nodded his head vigorously. Xiang Yu asked the Divine Emperor for the man’s information in his mind. When he received it, he said, "Your name is Zhen Ran. You have two kids and an ex-wife. I know where you live, so if you don’t want your loved ones to be hurt, don’t mention me."
Terrified, Zhen Ran nodded again. "I won’t say anything," he promised.
Satisfied, Xiang Yu pulled out Zhen Ran’s phone with his gloved hand and dialled the emergency number before handing it back to him. Zhen Ran was confused but when he heard the woman on the other end ask, "What is your emergency?" he was surprised.
He watched in awe as Xiang Yu walked away, speaking to the woman on the phone. The scene was surreal, and Zhen Ran couldn’t help but feel a mix of fear and admiration for the man who had just spared his life.
