The room felt stifling, filled with an oppressive tension that clung to the air like a thick fog. Peng Xiu’s complexion turned an alarming shade of pale, her eyes wide with disbelief as she processed the accusations hurled at her.

Her voice erupted in a grotesque scream, a visceral sound that echoed off the walls, "You are lying! You bastard!" The words dripped with desperation, each syllable punctuated by the tremor of fear.

Xiang Yu turned to Han Xin, his expression a mask of cold calculation. "She has been spying on you for years," he said, his tone steady and unwavering, "looking for evidence that could incriminate you." The revelation hung in the air, heavy and suffocating, as if the very atmosphere was complicit in the dark drama unfolding before them.

Peng Xiu, now resembling a deranged lunatic, flailed against the constraints of her reality, her voice rising in a frantic pitch. "He is lying, Han Xin! He is lying to you! He just wants me gone because he is jealous of me!" Her wild declarations ricocheted off the walls, but Xiang Yu’s laughter sliced through the chaos, a sound devoid of warmth, tinged with something sinister.

In an instant, the atmosphere shifted. With a fluid motion, Xiang Yu spun the dagger in his hand, its blade glinting ominously in the light before it plunged down with ruthless precision into Peng Xiu’s hand. A guttural gasp escaped her lips, followed by a sickening squelch as the blade drove deep into her flesh.

Xiang Yu’s expression remained disturbingly calm, his demeanour chilling as he pressed the blade down, blood spraying like crimson rain, splattering everywhere. Xiang Yu had transformed from his usual self into a grotesque figure that resembled a resentful ghost risen from the depths of hell.

The bodyguards, usually stoic and composed, stood frozen in shock, their eyes wide with disbelief at the brutality unfolding before them. Xiang Yu, who typically exuded an aura of chill and approachability, now radiated a dark energy that seemed to warp the very fabric of the room. They instinctively closed the door, sealing off the muffled cries of Peng Xiu, the sound becoming a distant echo, a reminder of the madness that lay on the other side of the door.

Han Xin’s breath quickened, his back pressed against the sturdy desk, the weight of the moment crashing down upon him like a wave. He observed Xiang Yu with a mixture of intrigue and exhilaration, his heart racing as he processed the violence executed for his sake.

A thrill coursed through him, intoxicating and strange, as he covered his mouth with a façade of calm. Yet, his hand gripped the edge of the desk, knuckles turning white, betraying the storm brewing within.

Something primal stirred in Han Xin, an indescribable excitement ignited by the dark display of power before him. He felt alive, electrified by the sight of Xiang Yu embracing his ruthless side. It was a raw emotion, one that felt both foreign and exhilarating, igniting a fire in his veins that he had never known before.

Peng Xiu was really sacred now. If he made her face ugly how will Han Xin look at her? She will be a monster that no one wants. "Xiang Yu, what what are you doing, you beast?" she screamed, her voice a raw mix of horror and defiance, but the words fell flat against Xiang Yu’s chilling resolve.

"Tell him everything right now," Xiang Yu commanded, his voice a silken thread of menace, "otherwise, I will give you a scar that runs down the centre of your face." The tip of the dagger hovered dangerously close to her forehead, tracing a line down her nose bridge, lips and chin. Each brush against her skin made her tremble, a visceral reaction to the threat that loomed so close.

Peng Xiu’s heart raced in terror, gripping her as she hesitated, instinctively recoiling from the blade. Yet, with a swift, unforgiving pressure, Xiang Yu pressed the dagger against her forehead, the cold steel biting into her flesh. "Wait wait wait I wasn’t going to hurt you, Han Xin, I swear!" she finally blurted out, her voice cracking under the weight of her confession. "I know you wanted to go legitimate, but those sewer rats would drag you down! I was only trying to help you!"

But Han Xin remained unmoved, his gaze locked onto Xiang Yu, a dark obsession flickering in his eyes that would have frightened even the most hardened soul. It was as if Peng Xiu’s pleas were swallowed by the space between them, her desperation echoing in a void that Han Xin didn’t seem to occupy.

"I admit it," she continued, her voice breaking, "I was sent to take you down, but... but I fell in love with you and couldn’t do it." The admission hung heavy in the air, a desperate gamble for mercy. But just as hope flickered in her chest, Xiang Yu’s patience wore thin, and with a swift, brutal motion, he sliced the side of her face.
