Chapter 369: Guzzling down copious amounts of vinegar

Xiang Yu sank deeper into the warm water, letting the fragrant steam wrap around him like a soft blanket. For two hours, he soaked in the tranquillity, the world outside fading away. The gentle bubbles rose and popped, creating a soothing rhythm that lulled him to sleep.

His communicator lit up with notifications, but the soft beeps were lost in the haze of his dreams. It wasn’t until a gentle touch stirred him awake that he realized how long he had been submerged in peace. The attendants smiled as they helped him get out of the water. He felt as if every muscle in his body had turned to jelly.

Draped in a plush robe, he followed them to a separate room filled with the rich aroma of food. A table was set, and he took a seat, his appetite returning with a rush. As he ate, he finally glanced at his communicator and saw a lot of notifications.

Lian and Mei had sent him messages. Their faces beamed in the pictures, arms thrown around a smiling Han Zhan. But Han Zhan’s expression looked more like a man under duress. A chuckle escaped Xiang Yu’s lips as he typed a quick reply: "Go easy on him next time, he doesn’t remember you two.

He noticed other messages but ignored them, his focus shifting to Han Xin’s. The message was simple, asking how he was feeling. Xiang Yu snorted. The audacity. After disappearing without a word, now he decided to check in? A simple message before leaving would have sufficed. With a flick, he swiped the screen away and continued eating. Yes, he absolutely left that man on read.

Scrolling further, he stumbled upon images of himself leaving the nightclub with his father looking like he had been caught doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. The headlines screamed breaking news. Comments flooded in, harsh and unkind, claiming he had never changed, that he was back to his old ways.

Xiang Yu shrugged off the negativity, his eyes landing on an article beneath that caught his attention. His father was already spinning tales, suggesting that Xiang Yu’s "baby" was the stunning Princess Sienna. A sneer crept onto his face as he switched off the communicator.

Once finished with his meal, the attendants returned, ready to continue their work. Xiang Yu felt a flicker of irritation. He had little choice but to endure their care. They began with his hands and feet, each nail expertly groomed. Next, they turned to his hair. Snip by snip, they shaped it to perfection. Time slipped away, and soon it was nearly time for the envoy from the federation to arrive.

Finally, they dressed him in his elaborate royal attire, each piece woven from the finest fabrics in the galaxy. Intricate patterns adorned his clothing, symbols of his status as crown prince. The royal heirlooms followed each jewel gleaming, enhancing his regal appearance. Xiang Yu stood before the mirror, unable to look away. Dazzling. He especially loved the gold earring dangling on his ear.

The imperial palace stood high in the sky, a dazzling spectacle against the night. Its lights twinkled like stars, reflecting the grandeur of the empire. Large floating screens throughout the imperial capital showcased this beauty as the hovercars of the Federation arrived, gliding through the air with an air of majesty.

Yet, as he observed Xiang Yu in person, a new impression began to form. The young prince’s appearance and demeanour left an indelible mark on the emperor’s mind. Perhaps there was more to this crown prince than he had heard.

Xiang Yu stood tall as he greeted the four princes, shaking their hands one by one. Each handshake sent a pang of jealousy through Han Xin, who lingered in the background with the other staff. His eyes narrowed, focusing on the hands joining Xiang Yu’s, his heart brimming with unspoken frustration.

When Crown Prince Sirius’s handshake lingered, a sly smile spreading across his face, Han Xin felt a wave of anger rise within him. He knew Sirius’s type all too well, and it made him restless. As Xiang Yu met Sirius’s gaze head-on, the prince arched his brow. "If I had known the crown prince of the Republic was this dazzling, I wouldn’t have brought my sister but a dowry instead," Sirius teased.

Han Xin couldn’t contain himself any longer. He stepped forward, but Xiang Yu raised his hand, a silent command for him to stand down. The gesture made Han Xin’s heart race, frustration boiling beneath the surface. He was undoubtedly guzzling down copious amounts of vinegar.

AN: That cant be healthy Han Xin. Vent it out or something... hehehe

Sirius noticed the movement and turned to see Han Xin’s dark, menacing glare. He could sense the hidden power radiating from him. He was a worthy opponent, indeed.
