Venerable Demon King & The Doting Immortal (QT) novel Chapter 451

Chapter 451: Stupid people know each other

"You are stupid already," Mei shot back, crossing her arms defiantly.

"Stupid people know each other!" Lian retorted, a playful glint in her eye.

"Grandpa! She called me stupid!" Mei yelled, already gearing up for another playful argument.

"Don’t you dare play the victim. You called me stupid first!" Lian countered, sticking her tongue out.

Inside the room, as the banter drifted through the walls, Xiang Yu turned to Han Xin, his voice barely above a whisper, "Are you ready?"

"Always," Han Xin replied, his eyes locked on Xiang Yu’s, filled with intent. He wrapped his arms around Xiang Yu’s waist, pulling him closer, their foreheads almost touching. Then, he planted a gentle kiss on Xiang Yu’s lips, savouring the moment.

"Wait for me to get back... I won’t be long," Han Xin said softly, breaking the kiss and looking into Xiang Yu’s deep eyes.

"Okay, I will wait for you," Xiang Yu promised, his voice steady and warm.

The two of them finally stepped out of the room, only to find Lian and Mei locked in a tussle. Han Xin glanced at Xiang Yu, a question lodged in his gaze, silently asking if he was going to intervene. Han Xin looked like a fun dad, one who had never quite disciplined his kids.

"What are you looking at me for?" Xiang Yu shot back, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Han Xin nodded towards Han Zhan, gesturing for him to pull the two apart. Han Zhan shook his head, a clear "no" that communicated his reluctance. He looked as though he wanted to avoid becoming collateral damage.

Xiang Yu, however, decided to intervene. He squared his shoulders and spoke in a surprisingly stern voice, "Whoever lets go last won’t have ice cream today!"

The threat hung in the air, and both Lian and Mei froze mid-battle. Slowly, they released one another, eyes wide with mock horror at Xiang Yu’s declaration.

Han Xin chuckled, warmed by the playful tension, as he watched Xiang Yu taking charge of the situation like he had been doing it all his life.

The hangar fell into a tense silence, a collective breath held among the spectators. Lian and Mei stood across from each other, small smudges of dirt and sweat marking their cheeks.

They pointed at one another, quick and accusatory. "She let go last," they said simultaneously their moment of rivalry evaporating into the charged air.

He watched, entranced, as Han Xin manoeuvred the massive machine, displaying grace and confidence that made Xiang Yu’s heart swell.

"Hey," Han Zhan interrupted the moment, his voice a steady anchor, "he will be back soon. If you’d like, you can go witness the fight."

Xiang Yu’s eyes lit up. He could hardly contain his eagerness. "Sure, let’s go!" he replied. If Han Zhan only knew how furious Han Xin would be once he discovered Xiang Yu was there, he might have thought twice before extending the invitation.

The warship hangar doors rumbled open and out strode the formidable mech known as Zeus. Clad in resplendent gold and sleek black, it gleamed with a majestic aura, fit for its master. This SSS-rank mech was the epitome of power and elegance, an indomitable titan ready to defend the honour of the Republic.

As Zeus emerged into the boundless expanse of space, a fleet of Republic ships formed a steadfast phalanx behind it. The glimmering stars bore witness to the might and unity of the Republic forces, each ship a sentinel standing guard over their sovereign domain.

Across the void, standing in stark contrast to the brilliance of Zeus, was the crimson colossus belonging to Sirius. The red mech, a symbol of the Federation’s relentless ambition, stood tall and defiant, exuding an aura of fierce determination. Behind it, the Federation fleet assembled in unwavering solidarity, their engines humming with the promise of impending conflict.

The stage was set. In this silent theatre of the cosmos, Zeus and the red mech stared each other down, two titans poised on the brink of an epic confrontation. The fate of the Republic and the Federation hung in the balance, and the echoes of this monumental clash would reverberate through the stars for generations to come.
