The action felt more purposeful than he intended, driven by the restless feelinhhe couldn’t shake. All he wanted was to lay eyes on Xiang Yu and this feeling would disappear.
When he arrived at the medical centre, Han Xin saw Lian and Mei through the glass door. They were hunched over sterile tables, fiddling with medicinal plants that looked suspiciously experimental. Concoctions of unknown purpose bubbled faintly in their tubes.
Han Xin knocked lightly on the glass door. The sound carried, drawing their attention. Lian looked up and peeled off her gloves as she stood. Mei spun her chair around with a curious smile.
"What is it, Xin-ge?" Mei asked, leaning forward.
Han Xin raised the bag in his hand. "I brought you snacks."
The reaction was immediate. Lian and Mei bolted from their workstations so fast, you’d think they hadn’t eaten in days. Han Xin set the bag down on the bench, barely managing to step aside before the pair began tearing through its contents.
"Wah, Xin-ge!" Lian exclaimed, pulling out packets of dried fruit. "Where did you get this?"
Mei’s eyes widened as she sifted through pretzels, snack cakes, and potato chips. "Did you go back in time to buy us snacks?"
Lian ripped open a packet, popping a piece into her mouth. "You didn’t tell us you could time travel. That’s so cool!"
Han Xin chuckled, shaking his head. "No, we found it in the bunker we raided."
Mei bit into a snack cake, her eyes closing in delight. "Mmmm, it’s so delicious," she murmured, her voice dreamy.
"I’m glad you like it," Han Xin said, though his gaze wandered across the room. He wasn’t here for snacks—or them.
"Looking for someone?" Lian asked, eyeing him with mild curiosity.
"Uh, yes," Han Xin admitted. "I’m looking for Xiang Yu."
Mei’s chuckle came sharp and amused. "Of course you are."
Han Xin frowned, straightening his shoulders defensively. "It’s not what you think. I want to thank him for the information."
Mei arched an eyebrow but said nothing, her smirk lingering as she grabbed another bag of chips.
"Sure, sure you do," Lian teased, glancing at Mei with a mischievous grin.
"He didn’t come home last night. We waited and waited and... waited but nothing... Xin-ge do you have any idea where he was?" Lian said, her voice low, but sharp with curiosity.
Mei responded quickly, "Yes, and today he was... how to say this, very very tired. We are so concerned for him." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
Han Xin studied him, feeling a sense of unease creep in. This man’s vigilance was alarmingly low, and in a world full of threats, such laxity was troubling. Han Xin spread his legs, leaning back slightly as his eyes traced over Xiang Yu’s relaxed form. He couldn’t help but wonder what about this man was so irresistible? The thought sent a shiver down his spine.
If Xiang Yu had no interest in him, he would make a perfect weapon against him. Xiang Yu was his weakness. The realization that if this was a trap and he would gladly fall into it, sent a wave of confusion through him.
Then, slowly, he inhaled that familiar comforting scent wafting from Xiang Yu. It enveloped him like a warm embrace, pulling him deeper into tranquility. Without even realizing it, Han Xin drifted off to sleep, the weight of the world fading away as he surrendered to the peace of the moment.

Xiang Yu drifted in a gentle haze, the warmth of his dream wrapping around him like a beloved blanket. Just moments ago, he was about to take advantage of Han Xin by sitting on his’s lap, the thrill of it buzzing through him.
But the sudden jolt of reality ripped him from that sweet reverie. He blinked awake, the remnants of the dream fading like morning mist.
He stretched slowly, delight turning into annoyance as he let out a soft sigh. The world came into focus hazily, and then his eyes widened in surprise. There, across from him, sat Han Xin, his eyes closed in peaceful slumber.
Xiang Yu’s muscles tensed at the unexpected sight. A rush of warmth flooded through him, a mix of admiration and confusion. He took a breath, deciding to let the man sleep a little longer.
But just as he settled into silence, Han Xin’s eyelids fluttered open, revealing deep, knowing eyes. Their gazes locked, and Xiang Yu felt his heart race. "Did I wake you?" he asked softly.
