Ren stepped out of the swirling dust. Five concentric layers of mana barriers hummed around his body, deflecting the falling ash and ambient heat.

He didn’t pause to admire his work. He didn’t wait for the smoke to settle or for the dragon to reveal its wounds.

Time was a luxury.

His hands were already weaving a new runic sequence. He sent mana and reached out to the towering spike he had just summoned. The jagged surface of the earth began to shift. The dull gray stone took on a dark metallic sheen. By weaving earth, fire, and water mana together in a highly specific ratio, he altered the structure of the rock. It approached the legendary density of the lost metal element. It became incredibly heavy, yet retained a degree of flexibility that ordinary diamond lacked.

The construct responded to his will like a phantom limb.

Across the crater, the smoke parted. The guardian loomed in the haze.

It slammed directly into the guardian’s ribs.

The impact cracked like thunder. The force knocked the deflated, gas-leaking creature off its feet, sending it crashing onto its side.

The blast had blown away some of the thick scales on the dragon’s back too. Now, those raw unprotected wounds faced straight at the enemy beast.

The three-headed Hydra immediately recalibrated its aim. The column of blue light rained down, punishing the exposed flesh.

Ren kept the pressure on. He commanded the head of the pseudo-hammer, which currently rested heavily on the fallen beast, to reshape itself. The rounded metal warped, extending long jagged spikes that dug deep into the dragon’s side like the talons of a massive claw.

The creature roared, trying to thrash its way free. Ren didn’t give it the chance... He raised both hands, pulling more constructs from the bedrock.

More stone arches dense as iron erupted from the earth, pinning the dragon’s limbs, head and tail to the floor. It was firmly anchored. This immobilization allowed the Hydra to focus its beam into a single point of penetration without the target shifting a single inch.

The objective was simple. Drill straight down into the biological center of the beast and shatter the core.
