Ren raised his hands, and the atmosphere began to buckle.
He started accumulating a colossal sphere of pure fire. It rapidly expanded, dwarfing the massive fireballs Liora had generated. It grew so incredibly massive and dense that Liora had to push her soul to its absolute breaking point just to keep up, aggressively injecting her unique, soul-burning spiritual flames into the core. She fed the roaring inferno with absolutely everything her Spiritual Bashes could synthesize.
Luna and Larissa immediately jumped into position directly behind her to anchor the formation.
They did not possess the spiritual affinity, that was entirely Liora’s domain, but the small fractions of ethereal stability they could provide through their unique synchronization with Ren were absolutely vital. Every single gram of control helped manage an accumulation of cosmic power that threatened to violently slip out of anyone’s hands and vaporize them all.
Ren accumulated more... And more.
He injected hyper-compressed Wind mana into the roaring, growing mass of golden, purifying flame, followed by blinding Light energy. Deep within his soul, the bioluminescent fungal network of his beast was working absolute miracles. The mushroom was flawlessly managing and balancing unfathomable quantities of different energies that a standard Tamer’s system could never have processed alone.
The sphere of fire expanded until it literally became a miniature sun, the absolute largest, most terrifying construct Ren had ever forged. It was a blinding sphere of white and gold, rotating slowly above the battlefield, radiating a heat so extreme that the Vanguard could feel their skin blistering from hundreds of yards away.
Ren’s jaw was locked, his muscles trembling as he fought a catastrophic, two-front internal war. The exalted corruption was desperately trying to invade his mind from below, while the primordial energy of the ancient dragons was violently trying to overflow and shatter his core from above. But slowly, the agonizing pressure began to alleviate as he actively surrendered more and more of the ethereal management to his mushroom’s net.
The lethal crystallization creeping across his forearms and cheek ground to a dead halt.
They had successfully achieved the impossible feat.
They had accumulated three hundred percent of his maximum output into a single, cohesive strike.
Inside his system, the tiny beast was working with terrifying, nerve-wracking precision. It was figuratively sweating, meticulously controlling every single microscopic thread of volatile energy with the absolute focus of a bomb technician who knew a single miscalculation meant an explosion or else a rebound that would permanently freeze them in crystal.
It monitored Ren’s scarred core with profound fear, terrified that Selthia might exploit this exact second of maximum vulnerability to launch an ambush and shatter their concentration.
A single, unexpected jolt to Ren’s system right now, and the entire vanguard would go up in flames.
But Ren held the line. And his mushroom friend held it with him.

Victor and the rest of the Vanguard elites finally closed the distance.
They had confidently left the remnants of the scattered mutant horde in Lin’s highly capable hands. Now that the swarm’s numbers were a fraction of their former glory, her fast thunder kicks were more than enough to contain them. The heavy hitters launched themselves directly onto the three shattered, severed fragments of the Diamond-rank artifact.
They rained down an absolutely merciless, unrelenting barrage of blows. They afforded the mechanical dragon absolutely zero breathing room, systematically preventing the severed fragments from triggering their regeneration cycles, and more importantly, preventing the ancient metal joints from pulling themselves back together.
While Ren charged the nuclear payload in the sky, the Vanguard kept the enemy brutally pinned and dismembered in the ground...
And then, Selthia’s deafening scream of agony and fury abruptly cut off.
The sudden, absolute silence was much more ominous than her suffering had been.
Staring up at the colossal, blinding white sun suspended in the sky, the corruption fell completely mute for the very first time in the entire fight.
But the silence was brief...
For a fleeting, spine-chilling microsecond, a voice echoed directly through the crack of the corrupted seed buried in Ren’s soul.
Mooshito, the tiny mushroom, literally felt its mycelium crawl with goosebumps.
"Kill me..."
"You will pay..."
"YOU WILL PAY FOR OFFENDING A GOD!"
