Chapter 24

Once inside, he led me straight to the private bathroom.

He let go of my hand as the door closed behind us.

“Take a shower.”

I swallowed hard and stepped toward the shower.

My fingers trembled as I removed the soiled uniform, my skin burning under his gare.

I took a deep breath, trying to ignore his presence, and turned on the water.

The heat slid down my body, washing away the soup–but not the humiliation. I scrubbed hard, as if I could erase the entire day.

Still, the feeling of being watched made every movement uncomfortable.

I finished quickly, doing my best to pretend he wasn’t there. I grabbed the toothbrush and paste he had given me that morning and started brushing my teeth. The fresh taste brought a tiny sense of relief, like it could erase a fraction of the day’s exhaustion.

When I finished, I reached for the towel hanging nearby and dried off. The warm fabric against my skin offered a fleeting comfort, like for a moment, I wasn’t in this hellhole at all.

But the illusion shattered the moment I turned around.

The Reaper was still there.

Arms crossed over his broad chest, eyes fixed on me, analyzing every detail without a hint of urgency.

My face burned.

The discomfort swelled.

Before I could say a word, the door burst open.

A guard stepped inside.

My body reacted instantly–muscles tensed, and I yanked the towel up to cover myself.

The Reaper’s eyes didn’t move.

It was as if I were his personal show, has right.

My face burned hotter.

The man banded him the uniform and left without a word

We were alone again

“Come here, bunny,” he said calmly, though his voice left no room for refusal.

I swallowed hard and stepped closet, hesitant.

He lifted the uniform in front of my face.

“You want this?

“Y–Yes… please.

A smile spread across his lips.

“Then kiss me.”

My heart slammed in my chest.

He wanted a kiss in exchange for the uniform?

The Reaper towered over me.

Broad chest. Intimidating.

Every cell in my body screamed to run, but I knew I wouldn’t.

I couldn’t refuse.

Trembling, I leaned in and pressed a quick, lifeless kiss to his lips.

I pulled away immediately, eyes on the floor.

He laughed.

“That’s a kiss?” he mocked. “Bunny, I think I need to teach you how I want to be kissed.*

Before I could react, he grabbed my waist and pulled me against him, crushing our bodies together. His heat burned through me, leaving me breathless.

His mouth crashed into mine with no warning, no gentleness. His tongue forced its way in, claiming every inch, as if he had every right. The kiss was brutal, relentless–a predatory attack. He wasn’t kissing me. He was devouring me.

My breath escaped in a muffled moan when his teeth sank into my lower lip, biting with no mercy before sucking hard, making my body shudder against his.

His tongue twisted around mine–demanding, hungry, pulling everything from me. The air grew thin, my lungs begged for oxygen, but he didn’t stop. He didn’t let go.

Chapter 24 1

He controlled the kiss like he was teaching me how to breathe–molding me to fit him. His taste was overwhelming, dizzying.

“That’s how I want you to kiss me when I ask, bunny. Now, get dressed.”

I had never experienced a kiss so intense, so consuming. And honestly, I knew I’d never be able to match it.
