Welcome to Hell (by Williane Kassia) novel Chapter 62

Chapter 62

I didn’t betray him.

But if he gave the order, that meant he believed it?

The nausea surged, intense.

My whole body went cold.

Did he throw me away without even hearing me out?

Before I could react, the guards‘ heavy hands grabbed my arms and started dragging me out.

“No!“‘

Fox tried to intervene, but one of the guards shoved him back.

My mind screamed to fight.

To resist.

But I couldn’t.

My body was there, but my mind wasn’t.

The only thing that echoed was that phrase.

The Reaper himself gave the order.

He really abandoned me.

The roar of the crowd vibrated in the yard.

All the inmates were gathered, euphoric shouts filling the space.

But as they saw me being dragged in, the commotion faded.

All eyes turned to me.

My heart pounded, and my knees threatened to buckle.

The pain of betrayal burned deeper than any blow I might receive.

Dante wasn’t there.

I looked.

I searched every corner with my eyes, trying to find even a trace of him.

But he wasn’t.

Was he so angry he didn’t even want to watch?

They threw me to the ground, my knees scraping against the rough concrete.

A screeching sound cut through the yard as a loudspeaker was turned on.

Chapter 62

‘Our special participant has finally arrived.*

The voice echoed through the speakers.

I lifted my head and saw who held the microphone.

That son of a bitch.

The bastard who tried to assault me.

Rage mixed with despair, knotting in my stomach.

And his opponent will be… the Crusher.”

The yard exploded in excited cheers.

The side gate opened, and two guards escorted in

a massive man.

The first thing I noticed was his black uniform.

That only meant one thing: the worst level of criminal in this prison.

The second detail hit me like a punch: his size.

Gigantic.

Even bigger than Dante.

The Crusher must have been at least seven feet tall, maybe more.

His heavy steps made the ground vibrate, and his predatory gaze fell on me, sizing me up like easy prey.

Because, to him, that’s exactly what I was.

My throat went dry.

The guards unchained him, releasing him into the yard.

“Let’s see who survives this wonderful fight.”

The bastard’s words through the mic snapped me back to reality.

1 wouldn’t survive.

Not against that monster.

My chest heaved in ragged breaths, the pain of betrayal heavier than the fear.

Dante really abandoned me?

The thought consumed me, a cold current of despair spreading through my chest.

But I was ripped from my thoughts the instant a gunshot echoed through the yard.

The fight had begun.

I had no time to react

The world spun around me, my vision blurred, and the bitter taste of bile rose in my throat.

I tried to move, but before I could gather any strength to fight back, a brutal kick landed in my stomach.

The Crusher didn’t give me a second of respite.

A monstrous hand grabbed my hair, yanking me up violently.

A sharp pain tore through my scalp, involuntary tears springing to my eyes.

My head snapped to the side, my cheek burning as if sliced by a blade.

The world flickered in flashes.

My knees buckled.

I couldn’t fight back anymore,
