Han Yuexi could never have imagined in her dreams that her younger brother Han Qianzhang would still not survive and would be swallowed whole by this incredibly ferocious divine beast. The shock to her vision left her frozen for a long moment.
Little White, however, had no idea what Han Yuexi was thinking. Not only did he show no sign of wanting to vomit, he even struck up a conversation. “This must be the new sister-in-law, right? Indeed you’re as beautiful as a flower in bloom, able to outshine fish and birds. My big brother is truly fortunate!”
Had Yu Bu Xia been here, he would surely have kicked him right then and there. No wonder Yinghuo didn’t want to take Little White to find Gu Ji—turns out you’re just a fair-weather friend! You switch loyalties so fast! So your big brother can only have one, but you can have countless sisters-in-law? Ugh, you’ve been fed so well and yet you have no conscience at all!
Hearing Little White’s words, Han Yuexi snapped back to reality. She grabbed Ye Yu’s arm and said anxiously, “Hurry and make him spit out Qianzhang!”
Ye {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} Yu nodded repeatedly, then pried open Little White’s blood-churning maw and reached inside. Just as he drew back his hand...
“Ugh, big brother, ugh, what are you doing?” Little White gagged.
Ye Yu quickly explained who Han Qianzhang was.
“So he’s your little brother-in-law! Why didn’t you say so earlier? I’ll spit him out right now!”
Little White inhaled deeply and then suddenly expelled Han Qianzhang, who tumbled to the ground and immediately lost consciousness again.
Han Yuexi’s heart pounded with worry. What had happened?
Ye Yu looked up at the sky. Unnoticed by them, the eclipse had already ended. The blazing sun had returned, radiating light and heat once more.
Han Yuexi noticed this too and breathed a sigh of relief. “An eclipse usually lasts only about two hours. Once it ends, Han Qianzhang always falls into a deep sleep. He’ll be fine! But why is there a bit of green on his head?”
When the residual glow still clung to him, the discoloration hadn’t been obvious. But now that the eclipse had passed and the light dissipated, that patch of green on his head stood out starkly.
Could it be a side effect of losing control? Han Yuexi reached out to touch it, but Little White intercepted her with a paw.
“Sister-in-law, don’t touch that. It’s the Immortal Herb I ate a couple of days ago—it hasn’t fully digested yet. My apologies for the mess!”
Saying so, Little White inhaled hard and drew the green patch into his mouth without wasting a bit.
Ye Yu and Han Yuexi looked on in astonishment. Brother, this isn’t a mess—it’s disgusting!
Han Yuexi gagged a few times.
Little White beamed. “Is there good news? Congratulations to big brother and sister-in-law!”
“Shut your mouth! My relationship with you is not... ugh. This is Han Yuexi. We’re just friends!” Ye Yu sputtered.
Little White pouted. “Big brother, that’s precisely your mistake. We’ve no outsiders here, so why hide it?”
She intended to pull Han Qianzhang up, but at the thought of the Immortal Herb she felt nauseated again. Instantly, she enveloped him in divine power and carried him off. Before departing, she glanced back at Little White’s belly.
