Elaine reached out and gently grasped her hand. “I watched you grow up. I raised you into the woman you are today. You are my daughter.”

“Mom…” Noelle threw herself into Elaine’s arms, her voice thick with earnest emotion. “You’re the only mother I have. You’re the only one I recognize.”

Hearing this, Elaine was overjoyed. She nodded repeatedly, her own eyes growing misty. “Oh, I know, I know. Come on now, don’t cry. You’ll ruin your makeup. Go touch up your face, and then meet me on stage. I’ll go say a few words first.”

Left with no choice, Finnian pulled out his phone, opened the game app, and handed it to her. Brynlee immediately beamed.
