Chapter 370

Chapter 370

Noelle arrived around 7:00 PM. It was an intimate fusion restaurant.

Outside their private dining room was a beautifully landscaped courtyard. Soft, ambient lighting and the faint strain of jazz music created a romantic atmosphere.

Quiet, intimate, and effortlessly elegant-everything was set up perfectly. As Noelle pushed open the door, she saw Julian already waiting for her.

She offered him a charming smile. “Is this a new spot? I don’t think I’ve ever been here before.”

Julian chuckled softly. “Yeah, it’s actually a new franchise my family just launched.”

“Oh, impressive,” Noelle purred, her lips curving into a delighted smile.

Staring at the stunning woman standing before him, Julian found he couldn’t tear his eyes away.

At the same time, he couldn’t help but notice she seemed to have lost a

little weight recently.

Her delicate features were drawn, and the sight of her looking so fragile tugged at his heartstrings.

“Take a seat. I ordered some Plum Black Tea for you. It’s supposed to stimulate the appetite,” Julian said, placing a warm cup by her hand.

“Thank you.” Noelle smiled, taking a delicate sip.

Julian sat down opposite her and signaled the waiter. Course after course began to arrive.

Taking a look at the spread, Noelle covered her mouth with a coy giggle. “How is it that these are all my absolute favorites?”

Julian matched her smile. “I wasn’t sure if your tastes had changed, so I

just ordered what I knew you used to love.”

You’re being so sweet, I’m almost a little overwhelmed.” Noelle lowered her eyes, a shy flush coloring her cheeks as she subconsciously tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

That one tiny, demure gesturè practically cast a spell on him. His gaze darkened with unmistakable desire.

Catching himself staring, Julian quickly looked away, the tips of his ears burning red.

Noelle picked up her fork and took a dainty bite. “Mm, this is fantastic.”

Julian watched her, his eyes brimming with affection. Using the serving utensils, he transferred a glistening piece of fish onto her plate. “You have to try this. It’s our signature Deep-Sea Eel.”

Noelle leaned in to take a small bite. The rich, savory glaze was perfectly

balanced.

But right as she was about to swallow, a wave of nausea violently rolled up her throat. Without warning, she slapped her hand over her mouth, gagging forcefully as she turned away from the table.

“Noelle? Are you alright?” Alarmed, Julian shot out of his chair and rushed to her side.

Still clutching her mouth, Noelle couldn’t speak.

She had no idea where the sudden sickness had come from. Panicking, she scrambled to her feet. “I’m so sorry. I need to go to the restroom.”

Julian wanted to follow her, but knowing it was inappropriate, he was forced to wait behind, pacing anxiously.

As Noelle practically sprinted down the hallway to the women’s room, it suddenly clicked.

Morning sickness.

Chapter 370

On instinct, her hand dropped to her flat stomach. The fertility doctor had warned her that the first trimester would require extreme care-no high stress, no strenuous exercise. She had listened to all of that, but she completely forgot to account for the nausea.

When Noelle finally emerged from the restroom, Julian was leaning against the wall in the corridor, waiting for her.

“Are you okay? Do you feel sick anywhere else?” he asked worriedly.

Noelle offered him a reassuring smile. “I think I’m just running on empty lately, and it upset my stomach. Don’t worry. It just stick to the lighter dishes.”

Julian nodded, completely taking her word for it.

For the rest of the meal, Noelle steered entirely clear of anything rich or remotely fishy, sticking to small bites and sipping her water.

Noticing she had barely eaten, Julian grew even more concerned. “You have lost weight recently. Have you thought about seeing a doctor? If something’s wrong, you really shouldn’t ignore it.”

“It’s nothing, honestly. I promise.” Far from being troubled by the physical toll of her secret, Noelle’s spirits were practically soaring.

She had always heard that severe morning sickness was a sign of a strong, healthy pregnancy.

After dinner, Noelle headed home. Sitting alone in the driver’s seat of his car, Julian debated for a long time before finally deciding to send Finnian a text message.

It read: *Hey Finnian. I had dinner with Noelle tonight, and she threw up out of nowhere. She claimed it was just an upset stomach and refused to see a doctor. Maybe you should take her to the hospital to get checked out.*
