Finnian shot out of his chair, closing the distance in three strides, and grabbed her wrist.

Her skin was cool to the touch, clashing against the burning heat of his palm.

“Let go.” Kaia was absolutely sick of his possessiveness.

Finnian wanted to argue, to say something, but the words died in his throat. Grabbing her like this made him feel like a desperate creep. He instantly released his grip.

The doctor seemed cornered by another group of executives, so Kaia stopped halfway and turned toward the bar to grab another drink.

Just then, a beautiful woman in a sharp white suit approached her. Stopping beside Kaia, she introduced herself, “Mrs. Sanders, hello. I’m Linnea Chen, the one who reached out to you a few days ago.”
