When My Ex's Worst Enemy Became My Sanctuary novel Chapter 334

Linda was the only staff member still working at Dorothea’s house, and even then, her job was just to keep things tidy. Anything to do with cooking was up to Dorothea. Pauline had moved into The Stephens Estate for the time being as well.

The crew from the reality show showed up to install cameras all over the place. Latham hovered nearby, watching their every move.

“Are you putting a camera in the bedroom too?”

“We have to, Latham, but you can always cover it up at night,” one of the crew explained.

“Don’t stress, Latham. Our show is live, but honestly, who’s going to sit around in the middle of the night watching a pitch-black screen?” another joked.

Latham still looked skeptical. “I wouldn’t be so sure. How about this, just put it in the guest room instead?”

The cameraman could tell Latham wasn’t going to budge. In the end, they just did what he asked.

When the crew moved on to the bathroom, Latham stepped in again.

“You’re putting one in here too?”

“Relax, Latham. This one’s angled only at the mirror. It won’t show anything else. Plus, you can cover it up when you need to shower. No footage, I promise.”

“That’s not good enough. My wife’s pregnant. What if she tries to cover the camera and slips?”

The crew paused, then realized he had a point. They decided to add another camera in the bedroom, aimed toward the bathroom door, so they could at least pick up audio if needed.

Meanwhile, Carmen sat down with Dorothea to go over the schedule.

“Dorothea, we’ll be going live at ten tomorrow morning. Can you be up before then?”

“That’s fine. I usually wake up around eight-thirty anyway,” Dorothea replied.

Lately, she’d been learning how to make porridge, which meant she was always experimenting in the kitchen by eight-thirty. It usually took her about an hour before breakfast was ready, but she loved every minute of it. Cooking had become her new obsession, and she was actually proud of everything she made. Linda just helped with prepping vegetables and made sure Dorothea didn’t get too tired.

“Fine, wear the red one. That’s what you wore the day we met for our blind date.”

She shot him a look, remembering exactly how ridiculous he’d looked in that flashy red suit. It was so over-the-top that she’d actually mistaken him for someone else, Harper, that day.

The show finally went live.

Because the cast was made up of regular people, even with all the promotion, there weren’t any hardcore fans waiting to watch. Most of the viewers were just people who stumbled across the stream.

Wait, is this a new show? You can choose which camera to watch—1, 2, 3, 4. I’ll pick number 3.

The girl on camera 3 is gorgeous. Is she famous? I don’t think I’ve seen her before.

Dorothea pulled her wavy chestnut hair into a messy bun, tied on a striped apron, and headed into the kitchen. Carmen had explained how everything would work, but since the show had just started and there were four different streams, Dorothea figured hardly anyone would be watching her feed anyway.
