The car was parked under a large tree with its windows wide open, so it wasn’t too stuffy.
They knew Jiang Zishi’s temperament all too well. With enough provocation, the guy would get so furious he’d lose his mind and couldn’t wait to stir up trouble.
And what they needed to do was expose him at just the right moment and deliver a painful blow!
Jiang Zishi’s eyes were dark and unreadable as he watched the long line, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
"Hey, Comrade, do you know one of the staff members in charge of the exam?"
After Jiang Zishi returned to the line, the others asked him apprehensively.
He nodded, hesitating before speaking. "She’s a relative of mine. We were sent down to the same area in the countryside. I just went up to say a few words since we ran into each other."
"Your relationship doesn’t seem very good, does it?" they asked, probing, afraid he might use his connections to snatch one of their spots.
Jiang Zishi grunted. "Perhaps I just know too much."
After that, he clamped his mouth shut and didn’t say another word.
When it was almost his turn, he hurried off to the restroom and came back a short while later.
Jiang Yihua emerged from around the corner, flanked by two comrades in uniforms with white tops, blue bottoms, and peaked caps.
"TSK TSK, Brother Hua, your parents were real suckers, weren’t they? Raising him for so many years only to be resented for it?" the one with the darker complexion said, shaking his head with a sigh.
Jiang Yihua shot him a glare. "Get back to work. After the exam is over and the results are out, you can bring him down to the station and teach him a proper lesson."
’Heh, failing the exam is just the prelude. There’s no limit to how low his life can sink!’
"Slander, especially slandering a woman’s virtue, can drive a living person to their death!"
"Later, I’ll have my wife whip up a feast. Call a few of the guys to come over for dinner."
The two comrades quickly stood at attention and nodded gravely. "Don’t worry, Brother Hua. I’ll go explain the situation to the comrades who heard him and have them act as witnesses."
"I’m sure that once their personal information is on record, they won’t dare to casually spread malicious, reputation-ruining rumors."
