Chapter 329: You Run, I’ll Chase!
Gianna desperately wanted Vincent to wait for her. She longed to ride alongside him on the same horse, imagining how impressive they would look together. It was all about making Amelia envious—she wanted to flaunt their closeness, to stir a little jealousy in her rival.
But Vincent, that infuriating man, either got so caught up in his own excitement that he didn’t even notice her, or perhaps he was deliberately ignoring her. Gianna couldn’t tell which was worse. Her patience was running thin, and she felt the first sparks of irritation flickering inside her.
However, since they were filming a reality show, she had to keep her temper in check—no shouting, no swearing, no public scenes. Trapped by the rules, she glanced sideways at Miguel, searching for another way to shine.
If she couldn’t parade alongside Vincent, maybe riding with her brother would do the trick. At least that was something Amelia could never be jealous of. Gianna’s mind raced with the possibilities, though she knew Amelia secretly hoped she’d cling to her doting brothers. Amelia didn’t care about anything else.
Meanwhile, Amelia smoothly swung herself onto a horse, her movements fluid and graceful. She patted the animal’s neck gently, her eyes sparkling with anticipation for the upcoming ride.
“Do you want me to ride with you?” Jeremy asked, looking at her with a hopeful expression.
Jeremy’s usual stubbornness made him dislike sharing a horse with anyone. In fact, he’d never done it before. But with Amelia, he was willing to make an exception.
“No, thanks. I want to ride alone. You can take your own horse. Let’s race and see who’s faster,” Amelia replied firmly, refusing without a second thought.
Jeremy shrugged but smiled. “Okay, your call.”
Though a little disappointed, he found the idea of racing Amelia thrilling enough. Without wasting a moment, he picked a horse and mounted it swiftly.
[Look! Mr. Curran wanted to ride with Amelia, and even after she said no, he still looks so sweet and caring!]
[You run, I’ll chase. There’s no way to escape!]
[I love how genuine they are. They’re not a couple, but they feel like one.]
[They understand each other with just a look.]
[Who cares if Mr. Curran has a fiancée? That’s not really his choice. I still think he and Amelia belong together!]
[Totally agree with the above.]
Sabrina noticed Jeremy’s gaze never left Amelia. He didn’t speak to her once—not a single question or word. That strange, tight feeling twisted painfully in Sabrina’s chest.
She kept her emotions hidden, instead choosing a snow-white horse. She mounted it with calm ease, her relaxed demeanor having won her many admirers.
By this point, only Gianna and Miguel remained off their horses.
“Miguel, I’m scared. I don’t think I can get on,” Gianna said, turning on her most innocent, pleading look.
Amelia saw everything but didn’t react outwardly.
In fact, the more Gianna tried to flaunt their closeness, the more Amelia enjoyed it.
Secretly, she hoped Miguel and Gianna would stay close, creating an even bigger spectacle. The more attention they attracted, the better.
What Amelia didn’t realize was that rumors were already swirling wildly about her and Miguel.
She probably still thought the gossip was only about her flirting with Jeremy, as if she were trying to steal him away.
[Here she goes again, pulling her usual tricks!]
[Looks like she can get her brothers to do whatever she wants. Even Mr. Dester isn’t that easy to manipulate like Miguel.]
[So bold. I just saw her provoking Amelia. Does she really think being close to Miguel is something to brag about?]
The online audience was watching every move Gianna and Miguel made, dissecting their actions and quickly voicing their annoyance.
The tension between the contestants simmered beneath the surface, with every glance and gesture magnified under the relentless gaze of the cameras.
