Chapter 60 The Truth Exposed

:

Gianna’s weak, pitiful look instantly made Emery and Vincent feel protective of her.

Emery pointed at Amelia and snapped, “You dare threaten Gianna again? You rascal!”

Vincent’s voice was cold. “Amelia, apologize to Gianna now, or don’t blame me if I lose my patience!”

Amelia gave a sharp laugh. “Lose your patience? Vincent, when have you ever treated me kindly?”

She didn’t bother arguing further. Instead, she pulled out her phone and tapped a button.

A clear voice recording filled the room.

“Uriah sent you all! You’re supposed to kidnap Amelia! Not me! I’m the one who paid you! How could you do this to me! Argh!”

“Your target is Amelia! You idiots! You’d better ruin her, humiliate her, and destroy her reputation completely!”

The voice was Gianna’s–sharp, nasty, and nothing like the fragile girl crying on the hospital bed now.

The entire room fell into silence.

Emery’s eyes widened in shock. “Gianna! What is this?!” She couldn’t believe what she just

heard.

The situation had flipped so fast it made everyone dizzy.

Raymond’s face turned stiff, his hands trembling. “Is this recording real?”

Vincent frowned deeply, his eyes fixed on Gianna’s pale face. “Gianna, explain this. What’s happening?”

Gianna’s face went completely pale. Her whole body trembled as tears streamed down her cheeks. She looked terrified and panicked.

“It’s–it’s not true!” she cried. “That recording is fakel Amelia used Al to make it! She’s been trying to destroy me!”

Amelia smirked coldly, “Fake? Then why don’t we take it to a professional lab and have it

tested?”

She took a step closer, her sharp gaze cutting through the air. “Gianna, this is your own fault. You planned to trap me, but your little scheme backfired. You couldn’t wait to watch me get humiliated–and in the end, those thugs mistook you for me. That’s karma.”

Her voice grew colder. “You’ve always been two–faced, pretending to be sweet while twisting the truth. But life has a funny way of paying people back. You did this to yourself.”

Gianna broke down, screaming through her tears, “It wasn’t me! I swear it wasn’t me! She’s framing me!”

Vincent looked at her with a conflicted expression. For the first time, doubt flickered in his

eyes.

Marcelo’s tone turned heavy. “I’ll find out the truth,” he said firmly.

Amelia calmly put her phone away. “Go ahead. If you want to press charges, I’ll fully cooperate.”

Her eyes swept across everyone in the room, her lips curling into a cold, mocking smile. “Try this again, and you’ll regret it. Don’t test my limits. This is the last time I’ll explain myself.” She paused, her voice cutting through the silence. “Next time, I’ll crush you.”

Emery’s expression shifted uneasily. She didn’t know what to say.

Thinking about the way she had just treated Amelia, a wave of guilt crept into her chest.

But that feeling didn’t last long. Emery quickly pushed it aside.

She convinced herself that Gianna must have been cornered. Anyone in her position would have snapped.

Emery gently patted her daughter’s back. “I know, sweetheart. You’re the one who suffered this time.”

Hearing that, Gianna cried even harder, as if the world had wronged her. “Dad, Mom, please believe me. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen–it was an accident! But Amelia … she’s always hated me!”

No one spoke. They just comforted her softly and told her to rest.

For now, the incident was over.

But deep inside, Gianna’s hatred for Amelia only grew stronger.

Why was Amelia always so lucky–escaping danger every single time?

Next time, Gianna promised herself, Amelia wouldn’t be so lucky.

A few days later, Amelia’s phone rang. It was Demi. “Hey, Amelia! A new riding club just opened outside the city. I heard it’s huge–they’ve got open trails and training arenas. Want to go check it out with me?”

Demi had just returned from abroad and had always loved horseback riding.

After seeing endless ads for the new place, she couldn’t hold back her excitement and was ready to explore the club.
