Chapter 8 A Scheme She Acted Out Herself
Gianna could hardly keep her smile as she heard people whispering around her.
Vincent looked even worse. His face was dark and stormy.
He stared at Amelia and Jeremy, feeling jealous and frustrated inside.

“Vincent… Gianna gently tugged his sleeve, her eyes a little red. “Don’t be mad. Maybe Amelia is just trying to annoy you…”
Vincent couldn’t believe Amelia could move on so fast.
He was sure she was just angry with him.
Seeing Vincent lost in thought, Gianna panicked a little inside.
Bitch! Amelia, just wait! She silently thought, gritting her teeth.
At the party, everyone was laughing and chatting.
Jeremy, who rarely went to events like this, had a lot of people coming over to greet him.
He was there tonight to stop rumors.
Recently, the media had been hinting that he was very sick. If he didn’t show up, the company’s stock might drop.
Amelia wasn’t interested in the business gossip.
She wanted to get some fresh air, so she headed to the hotel’s small garden outside. She had just had a little bit of wine. The air outside was nice, and there was a swimming pool sparkling in the light.
Seeing Amelia go outside, Gianna smiled to herself and followed her outside.
“Amelia.”
Amelia rolled her eyes. Can’t I get a little peace?
She turned and saw Gianna putting on a sweet, soft smile. She said, “No one’s here. Stop pretending. What do you want now?” Gianna’s smile quickly turned cold as she dropped the act.
“Amelia, you did this on purpose, didn’t you? You left the family. You should stay away and not show up in front of us,” Gianna said, trying to make Amelia angry.
“Shouldn’t you, the fake one, stay away? You know Vincent is my fiancé, but you run to him for every little thing.” Amelia shot back coldly.
“Vincent and I only talk about work. I’m his company’s spokesperson,” Gianna argued.
“Really? Other than prostitutes with clients, I’ve never seen work that required so much hugging and touching.”
“You!” Gianna was about to argue when she suddenly noticed a familiar figure walking toward them.
She stepped forward, her eyes sharp and cold. When she reached the poolside, she sneered.
“Amelia, you brought this on yourself”
Suddenly, she fell backward into the pool. Splash!
“Help! Amelia, why did you push me? Gianna screamed, thrashing in the water.
Amelia stood at the poolside, watching her act coldly.
Gianna had chosen this spot carefully, well away from the security cameras.

Soon, Vincent heard the commotion and rushed over. Seeing this scene, his face turned red with rage. “Amelia! Are you crazy?”
Without waiting, he jumped into the pool and pulled the wet Gianna out.
She shivered in his arms, crying. “Vincent, I just wanted to apologize to Amelia. I didn’t think she would… ”
“Amelia! Since when did you get so mean?” Vincent shouted in anger.
He had come to find Amelia to calm her down.
But after seeing this, that thought vanished instantly.
Amelia crossed her arms, smirking. “Vincent, are your eyes just for show? You really can’t see through such an obvious trick?”
Vincent snorted. “A trick? Gianna is like this and you’re still making excuses? I can’t believe you’re this kind of person.”
“Vincent, don’t blame Amelia. She probably misunderstood our relationship. She didn’t mean it,” Gianna said softly, shrinking into his arms.
Because of the commotion, more and more people had gathered to watch. Soon, everyone felt sorry for Gianna,
How could someone so fake also be so sneaky? What were the Nygards thinking?

At that moment, Jeremy arrived with a few bodyguards in tow.
He asked Amelia, ignoring everyone else, “Are you okay? Need a hand?”
Amelia shook her head lightly. “Nope. Just some cheap tricks, nothing to worry about.”
Then she looked at Gianna. “Here, I’ve got a little gift for you.”
She pulled out her phone and played the video of Gianna’s staged pool stunt for everyone to see.
When the video finished, Amelia and Jeremy just walked away.
Gianna was trembling, her lips shaking, unable to say anything.
Her carefully planned trick had just been exposed in front of everyone.
Vincent looked at her, his face full of mixed feelings. “Gianna, why would you do that?”
Gianna turned pale, tears streaming down her face. “Vincent, let me explain …
Vincent’s eyes showed a hint of disment. “Gianna, never do something like this again.”
The guests around them were whispering louder and louder.
“Wow, she actually jumped in herst
to frame someone else.”
“This is way too sneaky.”
“Can you believe the Nygards kicked out their real daughter for someone so fake?”
The Nygards looked completely embarrassed.
In the end, Emery had no choice but to drag Gianna away, looking ashamed.
