When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 903

Hearing those words, all the color drained from Lucian's face.

He snatched the report from the doctor's hands. The moment his eyes registered the results, his knees buckled, and he could barely stand.

He lifted his head, staring through the glass at Evelina, who was resting in the hospital bed.

It took him a long time to steady his breathing. Once he calmed down, he carefully folded the paper and tucked it away.

He locked eyes with the doctor. "Absolutely no one can know about this. Especially not my younger brother."

"Rest assured, Mr. Langston. I will keep this strictly confidential. As long as you don't mention it, my lips are sealed."

Lucian's assistant, standing nearby, spoke up cautiously. "Sir, are you really not going to do anything?"

"At the very least, we wait until her father is behind bars. We wait until the situation with the Sinclairs is over."

Lucian knew Lemira's plan.

If he couldn't help her, the least he could do was not drag her down.

He also refused to let his older brother know about this. Asher would undoubtedly find a way to complicate things again, and Lucian was terrified of dealing with his brother's arrogance right now.

Every single time they swore they would change, they ended up making the exact same mistakes when it came to Lemira.

He didn't want his relationship with his sister to deteriorate any further.

At least this way, once their parents were finally avenged, he could try to find a way to mend fences with her.

Meanwhile, Lemira returned to campus for her classes. As for Evelina's situation, the word was she had a high risk of miscarriage and would need a few days of bed rest to stabilize.

As Lemira approached the lecture hall, she noticed a group of people blocking the entrance.

Susanna Sinclair stood at the front, looking incredibly hostile. Her face was dark, staring at everyone as if they owed her millions of dollars.

The moment Lemira saw Susanna, she knew trouble had come knocking.

Janice tugged at Lemira's sleeve, her eyes filled with worry.

Chapter 903 1

Lemira found the offer utterly laughable.

She looked Susanna up and down. "What gives you the right to demand anything from me?"

"If you just let my mother off the hook, I'll throw myself at your mercy. I'll do whatever it takes!"

"There is no need. When you commit a crime, you pay the price, don't you? That's how the law works."

Chapter 903 2

"Is there really no other way?"

"You're willing to go this far for your mother. I am willing to go further."

Susanna was completely speechless. She was out of options.
