Lemira looked up and was stunned to see Orion Everhart.

She never expected him to track her down here.

With measured elegance, Orion shrugged off his tailored suit jacket and loosened his tie. He lifted his gaze, his eyes sweeping over the thugs with predatory arrogance.

His polished leather shoes clicked against the pavement as he strolled right through the center of the bewildered gang.

A suffocating aura of lethal dominance radiated from him, freezing the men in their tracks.

He didn't stop until he was standing directly in front of Lemira. Only then did he slowly turn to face the thugs.

His gaze was laced with absolute contempt. "To save time, come at me all at once."

The leader finally snapped out of his daze. "Get him! Cripple them both!"

As the men charged, Lemira moved to join the fight, but he threw a command over his shoulder. "Stay there. Don't move."

She watched in awe as he used his heavy suit jacket as an improvised weapon, his broad, powerful shoulders moving with lethal precision. The image of his back was instantly seared into her memory.

She only hesitated for a second before grabbing a broken chair leg from a pile of trash and charging in with a fierce yell.

It took barely any effort to leave the entire gang groaning on the concrete.

The leader, now sporting a heavily bruised face, scrambled backward, begging for mercy. "Stop, stop! My new dental implants just got knocked out again!"

Lemira tossed the shattered piece of wood aside and stood over him. "Who sent you?"

"I... I just saw you chasing my guy. I thought you caught him stealing, so I brought the boys to help him out!"

Lemira froze, turning to look for the man in the cap, only to realize he had vanished in the chaos.

They weren't working together?

Orion looked at her. "I'll have my people track him down."
