What makes him the bravest is that he understands the history of Duel Monsters. He knows the key points and people in its development. In other words, he recognizes Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei. He knows their lives, what powerful gods they’ve summoned, and the outrageous things they’ve pulled off.

Of course, later generations of duelists have plenty to nitpick about that duel. A card automatically popped out of Paradox’s deck. He drew it out, displaying it between two fingers. At that instant, a shrill dragon’s roar echoed through the Malefic domain, like an anguished wail, shaking space itself.

And behind him appeared that legendary dragon—a noble body formed by countless holy rays of light.
