"Gigaplant’s effect—Special Summon ’World Carrotweight Champion’ from the graveyard!"
The card, just sent to the graveyard moments ago, returned to his hand. He placed the monster card on the Duel Disk, and a pale blue summoning ripple projected its image onto the field.
This was a truly unique monster: true to its name, its body was almost entirely made of carrots—a long carrot head, sly eyes, arms and legs each just big carrots. It looked rather abstract.

Trueman scoffed,
"You think you can beat me with a cartoon monster like that?"
"Don’t underestimate the power of cartoons." Kira grinned. "I set two cards and end my turn."
"My turn. Draw," Trueman said.
Kira vaguely remembered the decks this dark henchman used in the anime, but knew Trueman didn’t have a fixed deck—he changed tactics every appearance, so memory was of limited use.
Trueman drew his card and, with a sly smile, announced,
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell ’Card Destruction’—both players discard two cards from their hands, then draw two new cards."
Kira glanced at his hand, quickly picked two to discard, then drew two new cards. He barely glanced at them, keeping his attention on Trueman.
As soon as the cards went to the graveyard, a massive black shadow seemed to flash behind Trueman, along with a deep, bestial growl—though it was impossible to tell what creature it came from.
"Looks like you discarded some monster cards," Trueman adjusted his sunglasses.
"Maybe I did," Kira replied. "So what?"
Trueman let out a dry laugh, changing the subject.
"There are many unknown realms hidden in this world," he said. "Arrogant humans think they understand their world, but what they see is just a tiny leaf before their eyes.
There are countless places humans have never set foot. For example, on an island in the Indian Ocean—there exists a special island infused with mysterious power.
Deep in that primordial island lives a powerful lord. And now, that strength is in my hands. Let me show you its true form today!"
He drew a monster card.
"When a monster is sent from the opponent’s hand or deck to the graveyard, this card can be Special Summoned from the hand in face-down Defense Position!
The ruler of Skull Island, the rock gorilla—
—Primineral Kongreat, Summon!!"
With the monster’s summon, the surroundings suddenly became a dense, shadowy jungle. A rocky mountain within the jungle slowly rose, revealing itself not as a boulder but as a massive ape.
A mountain-sized simian, its body clad not in fur but in gleaming rock, as if armored in natural stone. The giant rocks and its body merged, clashing with each movement, sounding like ancient war drums.

Kira’s eyelid twitched.
Wait, Skull Island’s big guy, did you wander into the wrong franchise?
This black, hulking gorilla did bear some resemblance to the stylish ape from Skull Island, but on closer look, they weren’t quite the same—the biggest difference being this gorilla’s body looked entirely made of stone, like a black mountain.
But the giant ape only appeared for a moment, then crouched down, transforming into a face-down card on the field.
