Alice remained in the same spot in the corridor as she glanced at the leaving Neil. A hint of hatred flashed in her eyes.
That kid was no fool. He knew she would do something to them if she was no longer their main caretaker, so he forcefully turned Joshua’s decision around. The reasons he gave made it irrefutable!
At the thought that she still has to pretend to look after the two of them in the future, Alice was inexplicably angry.
As she eyed Neil in a dazed state, Joshua furrowed his brows and flatly called her, “Alice.“
Alice jolted a little and immediately came to her senses. “Let’s go.“
Joshua took Alice to a cafe near the hospital.
It was the only time he had ever taken her there after their marriage.
Before marriage, he did not understand her enough. He only knew that she was a lady madly in love with him. Because of how his family urged him to marry and coupled with pressure from work, there was a time where he was depressed for most of the day.
She was like a little sun that came next to him, brightening up his life.
She drew for him, gave him little gifts, and sang unfamiliar tunes to him.
Later down the road, he treated her as a friend and started confiding in her.
When they talked about their views on marriage, she thought for a very long time. Then, she grabbed his arm and looked at him with her huge watery eyes.
“You think that marriage is a burden to you, but I think that marriage is blissful. If I could marry you, I’d be elated.“
Her naivety amused him. “If I say that I wouldn’t fall in love with you, will you still be willing to marry me?“
“Because you think she’s the mistress, coming in Joshua picked up the coffee cup and took a sip. “Just now at the hospital, you said that when Luna stayed at Anne’s house, you saw me from afar downstairs. If you have seen me, then you should know that I
didn’t look for Luna once for those few nights. I was only smoking downstairs. Yet, when you were at the office, you tried to muddle the truth. You said that those few nights I was with Luna discussing design sketches.“
Then, Joshua looked at her coldly. “I can understand your intuition as your woman, and I also admit that a lot of it is my fault, but you can communicate with me.“
Alice’s fingernails dug into her palms. She looked up and continued pretending to be pitiful.
“I…don’t dare. I ‘m afraid that if I were to tell you, you’d be unhappy.“
“Do I look like I ‘m happy now with you being like that?“ Joshua sneered. “You and I have issues to work out between us. This has nothing to do with Luna. She didn’t even know that I stopped by her place, yet you casually create lies and rumors. You accuse and slander.“
Then, Joshua looked at her. “I don’t know whether you were always like that, or that you’ve changed in these six years.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
