“Alice knew I came to see you.”
Luna scoffed and closed the door. “Not too long ago, Mrs. Lynch had been calling me your mistress. Since when did she become so forgiving?”
Joshua frowned but did not reply.
He indicated for her to sit down on the sofa. “Because of certain reasons, the visit has been rescheduled for tomorrow.”
He handed the documents to her. “These are the few of the main factories. You must understand the design and raw materials needed. Tomorrow, keep an eye out for the materials provided by the factories. And…”
He handed her a different document. “Take note of these few companies’ style of design and target audience.”
Seeing how invested he was to discuss business, Luna decided not to continue bringing in their private matters. She read through the document thoroughly, then marked the parts that required special attention. “I’ve taken note.”
“We’ll leave at 9 am tomorrow. We need to visit every single one of these companies by the end of the day,” Joshua’s voice was business-like and emotionless. “At night, we’ll be having dinner with one of our clients in Sea City, so don’t forget to prepare a medication to neutralize the alcohol.”
“Alright.“
Luna bowed her head and continued studying the documents. “Is there anything else?“ she asked carelessly.
“Yes.“ The man sitting opposite her changed into a different position, his gaze deep and heavy. “You’ve been to Sea City before, haven’t you?“
She stiffened slightly.
A moment later, she smiled. “I ‘ve been overseas the whole time. Didn’t you read my background information?“
“So, this is your first time here in Sea City?“
Luna tidied up the documents neatly. “Of course. “
Joshua hung an arm over the back of the sofa, his posture lazy and relaxed. “You walked through the entire city in just an afternoon’s time, though. You looked confident and relaxed, and I couldn’t tell it was your first time here.“
She did not dare raise her head to meet his eyes, at a loss as to whether he believed her or not.
The air between them was heavy and silent.
A moment later, he finally opened his mouth, his voice cold and deep, “Luna, what else are you hiding?“
She pursed her lips, then finally raised her head and smiled at him. “What are you trying to say, Mr. Lynch? Are you still wondering whether this is my first time in Sea City?“
“Yes, and no.“ Joshua’s lips curved into a smile. “ Last night at the banquet, the information you produced was sent to you from Ausland, am I right?“ His eyes were burning as if he wanted to stare a hole through her. “From that little hacker in Ausland? “
Luna stiffened sharply.
She looked at Joshua, at a loss for words.
“How did you contact him? The date indicated on the documents was from last night, and he obviously only started collecting the information after you notified him.” He stared at her, then finally locked his eyes onto the necklace that hung around her neck. “I remember that you, Nellie, and Neil all have that necklace. Can you take it off so I can take a look at it?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
