"Whoa! Mr. gorgeous is here!" Martha ran to the office, squealing.
"Hey, what's going on with you?" I asked, laughing as she nearly tripped over the center table.
"Your boyfriend is here!" She squealed again, her grin almost reaching up to her ears.
"What? But I have no boyfriend." I shrugged, even though I already have an idea of what she was talking about or should I say who she was talking about.
"Fine, your soon-to-be boyfriend is here," she pouted and I laughed again. "And he's waiting for you outside,"
I checked the time on my wristwatch and frowned when I saw that it was only 6:30 pm.
"It's still early," I muttered more to myself.
"Hmm... of course, he's making an effort, so it doesn't bother him even if he waits for you for 30 minutes." She grinned and I just rolled my eyes. "I'm going back to the counter," she winked at me.
"Ahh... so that's just your purpose why you ran here!" I concluded but I just got a wink before she finally went out of my sight.
I leaned back against my seat, closing my eyes for a while. I didn't notice the time. The last time I checked my wristwatch was before I walked into the office and it was only five in the afternoon and now it's already six-thirty. I suddenly felt tired so I took a deep breath and was about to go back to reading the reports on the computer when I felt a hand on my shoulders. I gasped and probably would have screamed if I hadn't smelled the familiar scent at that time.
"What are you doing here?" I asked and was about to get up but he held me still and began to massage my shoulders.
"Why? Am I not allowed to enter your office? I'm going out now---"
"I didn't say that! I just asked what you were doing here." And since I closed my eyes when he started moving his fingers on both my shoulders, I missed the grin that appeared on the corner of his lips.
"Alright," he answered shortly.
"It's only 6:30, you're 30 minutes early,"
"I know. I just want to make sure you won't get tired and walk when you go home,"
I couldn't help but smile at what he replied.
"How did you get through the door without making any noise?"
"I walked on tiptoe,"
"What?" I immediately opened my eyes and frowned at him. "You're lying,"
"Nah, I was just kidding, maybe you're just distracted so you didn't notice I walked in the door," he smiled.
"So, how did the meeting go earlier?" I asked the moment he stopped and pulled the chair next to me, so he was now sitting in front of me.
"Hmm... it went well, it's just that, I couldn't focus on the meeting earlier. I mean, I tried to but I couldn't." He said a little disappointed and even shook his head so I really believed it was true.
"But why?"
"Because my mind kept thinking about you."
My breath caught in my throat for a few seconds when he laughed.
"Tss! Those words don't suit you, Mr. Williams!" The only words I had said and rolled my eyes.
"But it's true," he kept laughing.
I stood up, smiling and putting my phone inside my bag.
"Where are you going?" He was suddenly alarmed, stood up, and took my arm.
I stopped what I was doing and pretended to be surprised at his question and action at the same time.
