Chapter 106 

Athena’s POV 

-Next Day- 

After learning about the events that played out after hearing Adrian’s story of being watched and Ares and Eros all but finding multiple scents just outside of our home, I had all but decided to have my mates parents all but watch the children knowing that they would be safer with them then at home with me. 

“Athena dear, are you sure?” asks Gwen, her eyes all but filled with concern as she carefully takes two of the triplets while Alarick takes 

the other along with Adrian. 

“Yes, Gwen. I need to know that my children will be safe. After learning things that I probably shouldn’t have learned, me knowing that they are with you helps ease my own fear.” I all but admit to her, hoping she would listen to me. 

“Aww honey, no, this isn’t how things are supposed to work. These babies need you. If anything we’ll come over to you and help you there. But otherwise we don’t feel okay with taking them from their mama” replies Gwen, not wanting Athena to feel like this was her only choice. 

“But…” I try, only to be stopped again. Gwen and Alarick both gave me no other option. 

“No buts Athena. We know what you’re feeling and while we would love nothing more than to house sit your children, we also know that this isn’t what you truly want deep down inside of you. You want them home with you and our sons.” replies Alarick, handing Ryder back over to me, who was all but still sleeping as he was passed back and forth. 

Biting my lip I know he’s right, so sighing 1 all but nod my head. “You’re right. I do want them home with me. With Ares and Eros. Not somewhere else” I all but admit to them. 

“Then let’s get these babies back home shall we? Alarick and I will come sit with you there while the pups play and sleep okay?” replies Gwen, a soft smile on her lips to help ease my fear. 

“Okay” I all but whisper back. 

Placing a gentle hand on top of my shoulder, Alarick all but gives me a gentle squeeze before both move to help me with taking the children back home, unaware that we had unwanted visitors surrounding us at almost every turn as we continued to head for home, 

-Rosalyn’s POV- 

“How many times are we going to have to keep coming back here?” grumbles a voice, my amethyst eyes all but turning to that of a man. A Rogue, Another pawn in Lily’s plan to extract revenge on the girl who lived with her children and while I wanted to go against everything that Lily had wanted, I knew better than to do it. 

“Stop complaining. We’re done when Lily says we are Rogue* I snap, making sure to stay hidden this time, aware of my mistake last time I was here and I all but let a child see me. 

“It’s Kade” growls the Rogue. My eyes still trained on the man who clearly stood about 6’5, broad shoulders, ripped muscles and seemed to enjoy wearing a black shirt, fitted blue jeans and black combat boots. His black hair and raven blue eyes all but glaring daggers at me as he did. 

“Do I care? You still reek of Rogue. Who’s pack did you belong to again?” I ask, my focus still on the man. 

“Why do you care about me, Witch? You’re not ray mate!” growls the man who I know as Kade. 

“Because it’s natural to care. Plus we’re both pawns in this, so why not be friends. So which pack?” I move to ask again, only for him to roll his eyes.

Chapter 106. 

“If you must know, I came fromfa pack that was once called the Whiteclaw pack answers Kade 

“Whiteclas pack? Why did you leave it?” I ask, curious. 

“I didn’t… it was destroyed by Hunters. Leaving only me and one other left alive, both packless” admits Kade. 

“So then where’s the other person?” I move to ask. 

“She went to another pack. A pack called the Dawnguard Pack. She has an aunt there” replies Kade. 

“So why didn’t you go with her then?” I ask again, knowing that it looks could kill then I’d already be dead. 

“Because I was hoping to have found my mate. Plus I have no living family left alive” grunts Kade before turning to ignore me. 

“Have you found them?” 

“Found who?” asks Kade. 

“Your mate?” 

“If I did, do you really think I would be here? With a Witch? Spying on a useless she–wolf” asks Kade just as Athena all but comes into view with her pups and two other people, a male and a woman. 

Xo… I don’t suppose you would be” I admit, my chest tightening at the thought of a mate. A mate who would love and cherish me like so many have before me.
