Chapter 109 

Ares Pov 

The moment we entered the office, I knew something was off. Our father having been angry as well as our mate looking scared, that it was in that moment that we knew something was up. 

Having entered the room, our father had all but handed me a letter. A letter that all but made my blood boil in rage upon reading what 

was on it. 

“That bitch needs to die‘ growls Zeus, having seen the letter as well and was trying his hardest not to just take over in that instant to go and search for her. The need to hunt her down and kill her for everything that she had done to our mate all but rising, 

‘Calm down. You’ll scare our mate if you start acting all reckless in front of her. She’s clearly shaken, so right now we need to work on calming her down‘ I say to him, knowing just how quick Zeus was when it came down to administering punishment to those who deserved it. 

Sighing, he moves to give up. 

‘Fine… you calme mate down. I’ll just kill the bitch when we find her instead‘ offers Zeus, a sigh leaving my body as Zeus had a weird way of showing his emotions. But deep down he truly did care for Athena like we all did. 

‘Deal was all I said to him, moving to focus on her, our mate. Our Luna. The one we would gladly die for if it meant that she got to live 

another day. 

“Athena, love, are you okay?” I move to ask her, moving to approach her slowly as Eros moves to purr softly, knowing that an Alpha’s purr could help calm down one’s mate when they are in distress. A distress that she was clearly in. 

“No.. why does Lily need to come for me anyway? I never did anything to her” cries Athena. 

“You didn’t have to, because according to Lily’s mind you already did. She’s always craved our attention, even for as long as we can remember, but now knowing that we’ll never be her’s, she’s all but hell bent on destroying you” I admit, not wanting to sugar coat anything to her. 

“T–That’s horrible, why?” cries Athena, clearly not liking what I said. 

“We know, and that’s why for now on, we’ll have to beef up our security and make sure our warriors are up to par with their training and we’ll have to have more scheduled patrols as well. Because until Lily’s found, I want you to be as safe as possible. Our children safe as possible. You’re our whole life and we’ll do whatever it takes to protect it.” I add, wanting her to know just how loved she truly was. 

Nodding, she moves to snuggle closer to Eros who all but continues to purr for her. His purr helping to calm her as he did. 

“You should go and rest love, let Eros and I handle things from here. We will make sure everything is handled from now on, but for now you should go and spend time with the pups. They need their mother right now” I say, hoping she’d take the offer suggested. 

Unsure if she wants to agree or not, Athena quickly moves to look into each of our eyes, our eyes shining brightly with love as we try coaxing her into leaving the room, only to eventually nod when she no longer has the energy to fight us. The sound of being with her pups all but promising as she moves to do as suggested. 

Eros and 1 each moved to kiss her softly until we moved to wait patiently for her to leave the room, only to go back to business once we were forsure positive that she was gone from sight. 

“Now then. How do we kill a whore?”

Chapter 109 

After having a much needed conversation with Kai, Seth and Sam along with Luces, Emma and Emily we had each tacitet & would te best to take shifts when it came to patrolling the grounds. That way neither of us were que tum Athena or the pops for longer than 

had to be. 

Kai and Seth even agreeing to work with the warriors back at the pack house and get them going on the cementary training so were always on track and ready to go encase Lily had decided to show 

“Now then, before we call it done for the evening, does anyone else have any questions or concerns?” I ask, the need to know all but building for while our meeting was small, Eros and I didn’t want to involve the whole entire pack unless we absolutely had to. So for noo we had decided to keep it to a minimum. Only including those closest to us instead. 

“How do we plan on keeping tabs on Athena? I mean obviously we can’t all be around her all at the same time. I mean, between táring and patrols there’s no room for anything else” admits Sam as if it had just dawned on him. 

“Leave that to Eros and 1, for now you six have your orders. Patrols and Training And starting now, Patrols will rotate about every 6 hours so that we all have time to rest in between each shift. Don’t need any of us to become exhausted before we find Lily remarks Eros, his eyes now stern as he spoke. 

Nodding in agreement, each of them moved to leave the room, having gotten their orders and were now about to follow through with them, knowing that if they didn’t then they were risking the life of their Luna as well as the pups. 

Waiting for Kai and the others to leave, do I move to focus on Eros, the need to speak to my brother all but privately rising
