Chapter 66 

Arés & Eros POV 

-Next Day- 

It’s about 8 in the morning and the packhouse was all a buzz for today was the day that Ares and Eros were about to become the new Alpha’s to the Mystic Shadow Pack while Athena became the 

new Luna of the pack as well. 

“Man, where has the time flown?” chuckles Eros, he and Ares off doing last minute things for the pack in order to help out their mother as well as those who needed it before the ceremony began. 

“Not sure, but either way I can’t help but be excited for this moment. After all we’ve trained for this our whole lives and while we might have our Luna and pups, I know there will be many hurdles to face along the way so long as the Rogue King lives” replies Ares, attempting to be serious about the matter. 

“Speaking of pups, what do you think Athena is hiding from us?” questions Eros. 

“Mmmm… Well, if I had to guess I’d say she’s hiding the gender of our babies if anything. Because everytime we ask, we get the same set of answers. It’s a secret or I’ll tell you soon, either way, I feel like she’ll tell us when it’s time” replies Ares to his brother as they make their rounds along the pack grounds making sure members were okay or to see if they needed any help. 

“Still… it’s killing me and Deimos… we really want to know the gender of our babies. Ever since she told us she was carrying more than one, I’ve been nothing but excited” remarks Eros with a 

whine which only makes Ares chuckle. 

“Relax, I feel the same way too. Zeus has been bugging me nonstop. Yet all we can do it wait and hope she’ll reveal the genders soon but for now we need to focus on the task at hand so we can start getting ready for the ceremony before mom gives us hell” remarks Ares, reminding Eros in the process as he remembers all of Zeus’s constant need to ask about the pups. 

‘Can you blame me?‘ grumbles Zeus. 

‘No.. but like my brother, you need to relax a little before you drive me insane. Our mate will tell us in time, we just have to be patient‘ is all Ares tells him before returning to what he was doing currently. 

Grumbling softly, Zeus moves to retreat from his mind as he knew Ares was right: 

Smiling at Zeus’s thoughts, Ares moves to focus for it was now 830 in the morning and the day

had just begun for soon the Alpha and Luna Ceremony would take place and all their guests and families would be joining them including members of the Council as apparently they wanted to see who was to become the new Luna of the Mystic Shadow Pack. 

More like nosy, thinks Ares as he frowns, trying not to let that bother him as the Council only consisted of about 8 to 10 people, all in which were very old men who had been alive longer than him or Eros and left no room to challenge their authority when it came down to matters like these. 

‘All I can say is if they attempt to start trouble here within our pack, we’ll have big problems brewing on our end‘ growls Zeus not wanting them there either. 

‘I know bud. But hopefully that won’t be the case though‘ answers Ares, praying to the Moon Goddess for them to either not come or at least not cause trouble for them for today was supposed to be special for their lovely mate and they planned to keep it that way no matter what. 

-Luna and Alpha Ceremony- 

It’s now about 5 o’clock in the afternoon and guests are finally starting to arrive for the ceremony of Luna Athena and Alpha Ares and Eros. 

“You just about ready Ares? We need to go greet guests” calls Eros as he finishes adjusting his 

shirt. 

“Yea, just give me a second” remarks Ares as he moves to walk out from within the closet all while 

buttoning up his own silk satin blue shirt. Adorning him were also a pair of black dress pants and black shoes, neither twin seeing Athena for the whole entire day as Maya had whisked her away to have a girls day before coming to meet up for the Luna and Alpha Ceremony. 

‘I bet mate will look absolutely beautiful‘ purrs Deimos, who couldn’t wait to see their wonderful 

mate. 

‘Agreed‘ replies Eros, just as Ares approaches them 

“Ready?” 

“Ready” 

And then like so, both twins move to head outside to greet guests as they slowly arrive for the ceremony. Agreeing to keep it relatively small except for those who had to attend for various 

reasons. 

Upon reaching the outside area, Ares and Eros move to find their parents only for Gwen to speak

Chapter 66 

1. up. “Ah Ares, Eros, so nice of you to finally come out and say hello to all your guests” smiles Gwen, once her eyes spot her boys.

“Sorry mom, we kinda lost track of time earlier. Between helping with last minute arrangements to helping out around the pack this morning, we totally forgot to get ready until just recently” 

admits Eros to his mother. 

“No matter, guests are just starting to arrive so why not go and greet them” smiles Gwen again before shooing them off to mingle with those who had arrived as they waited for more to arrive including Athena who had yet to arrive. 

Chuckling, they move to do as told only to spot a familiar face among the crowd. “Hey is that? No it couldn’t be? You don’t think mom and dad invited other packs to join us do you?” asks Eros to his brother as they watch a familiar girl with blonde hair and blue eyes mingle with a couple of people. Wearing a tea length dress in the color teal with strappy black heels with her hair nicely done in an updo, Ares and Eros could only recognize the said girl anywhere. 

“Pretty sure mom and dad did, come, let’s go say hi to her” smiles Ares as he and Eros move to approach the girl. 

“Elise? Is that you?” asks Ares once close enough to see who it was. 

At the sound of her name, does the said girl spin to greet the newcomers. “Ah, Ares and Eros, congratulations on becoming Alpha, where’s your lovely Luna?” asks Elise with a smile. 

“She’s getting ready as we speak, How’s Dark Moon Pack? Did you ever find your mate?” questioned Eros, realizing they never did ask her before they left the Moon Walker Pack. 

“I did” smiles Elise, just as tingles appear along her skin as a male comes to approach her, wrapping an arm around her waist as he did. “Ares, Eros, Please allow me to introduce to you my Luna, Luna Ashton” giggles Elise never getting tired of calling him her Luna while Ashton on the other hand simply rolls his eyes. 

“Please, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Ashton Wolf, Ex–Beta to the Midnight Pack. So please don’t let my cute little mate say to you otherwise” explains Ashton with a smile, always loving the fact of giving Elise a hard time about his new title as Luna of her pack. 

“Ah, Isaac’s pack. How is Isaac? And if you’re mated to Alpha Hayes, who’s the new Beta for Alpha Grant?” asks Ares, not realizing they also missed this bit of information as well. 

He’s good. Isaac is actually here with Sophia, his mate, she comes from the Blood Rose Pack. As for his new Beta that would be my brother Damian” explains Ashton, a proud feeling coming over him to tell others that his brother was now a Beta,
