Chapter 99 

Athena’s POV 

-Luna Suite- 

It’s late into the evening when I finally begin to wake, having passed out after giving birth must have been a first for most doctors. Slightly embarrassed as I did. 

‘Wouldn’t be the first time‘ murmurs Artemis, her voice now ringing in my head. 

‘Artemis?‘ I whisper, daring not to hope. 

‘Of course child, who else could be this annoying?‘ asks Artemis, her curiosity now getting the better of her. 

‘Is everything okay? I wasn’t able to reach you earlier nor could I wake you‘ admits Artemis. 

Sighing, I debate about telling her, ‘It’s complicated.‘ 

‘Complicated my white sparkly ass. You had a dream didn’t you? A horrible dream. It’s the only reason I wasn’t able to wake you. Magic was involved wasn’t it‘ growls Artemis. 

Blinking at her reference to her white sparkly ass, I all but held back a smile for indeed our fur was white and indeed it sparkled like moon dust when the light reflected over it just right. 

Knowing it’s useless to lie though, I all but nod my head before realizing that she wouldn’t be able to see it so I opt for voicing my answer 

instead. 

‘Yes Artemis. It was a dream. And not just any dream either. I was covered in blood as I stood before the bodies of our mates, our family, our friends but most of all our children. It was a nightmare I don’t ever wish to see nor live through ever‘ I all but cry, knowing she 

needed to know what I saw. 

‘Dead? Are you sure?‘ whispers Artemis, as if she was unable to process the news. 

‘Yes.. and what’s crazy is the voice that spoke to me… It felt familiar to me, like I should have known who it was but couldn’t pinpoint the 

source of it‘ I say. 

Taking in her silence I move to grip the sheets, not wanting to think the worst could happen. ‘Artemis?‘ I move to try again, hoping she’d 

answer me. 

‘Sorry… I–I was trying to process it. But you say it was a female voice that spoke to you?‘ questions Artemis. 

‘Yes‘ 

‘Hmm… The only female voice that I know who would have it out for us would be your cousin Diana or your Aunt Leah‘ answers Artemis 

truthfully. 

Or… Lily‘ I all but whisper, knowing that out of the three of them combined, Lily would more than likely be the one to try and kill what I held dear to me. 

‘Lily? That whore?‘ growls Artemis. 

‘Yeah, Remember, Lily has access to witches. Who knows what else she has access to. And the fact she called me weak and used Ares and Eros’s name only proves it was Lily‘ I reply, knowing now without a doubt it was her.

Chapter 99 

‘Are you sure?‘ asks Artemis again. 

‘Yes‘ 

Then before we can move to discuss further a knock on the door to my room suddenly sounds only to draw my attention over to see that of a nurse who was all but smiling at me as she moves to enter slowly 

“Hello my Luna, I hope you slept well. My name is Irina. I’ll be assisting you this evening. I start by getting you anything?” asks Irina. 

“Some water maybe?” I ask. 

“Sure, be right back” and with that she moves to fetch me a glass of ice cold water only to return momentarily later before bringing it to my bedside table. 

“Here you go. Now then, is there anything else I can get for you?” asks Irina again. 

“No, but thank you” I move to say, watching as Irina moved about the room all while occasionally checking my vitals and other things a nurse normally would. 

‘What an odd little wolf‘ purrs Artemis, curious as she continues to watch the girl within the room. 

‘Be nice‘ I quickly warned her. 

‘Lam nice… she’s just odd‘ replies Artemis in her defense. 

“Okay my Luna. Everything seems to be looking wonderful. If everything continues to run smoothly you should be allowed to leave sometime tomorrow” admits Irina double checking her work before turning to look at her Luna once again. 

“Thank you Irina, and actually before you go, is it possible for me to see my babies?” I ask quickly, having yet to see them since the c- section. 

“But of course you can. I’ll go get them for you, be right back” was all Irina said before going to fetch the triplets from the nursery. 

*Moment of truth‘ whispers Artemis, her excitement mingling with that of my own as we move to sit patiently for Irina’s return 

Ten minutes later, Irina comes back with a baby bassinet, the bassinet all but big enough to hold each of the babies who were beginning to get fussy. 

“Here you are my Luna. Your three little bundles of joy. I’m sure they’re hungry by now so I’ll leave you be and let you have your bonding time with them” smiles Irina as she moves to leave, only leaving once the babies were near my bed. 

Waiting for the door to click shut do I all but move to look at each of my babies. A smile now on my face as I move to see Ryder, Nathan and Samara, my little angels. 

“Hello my little ones, I’m your mother, Athena. Although I’m sure you already know that from being inside of me” I whispered, a smile on my face as I all but watched them. 

Noticing that Ryder was the first to get fussy, I moved to pick him up first. “Hello there Ryder, are you hungry?” I ask, bringing Ryder up towards one of my breasts as I all but bring it out for him, offering him the nipple as he all but latches on. The sound of sucking now being heard as Ryder all but accepts his offering of milk. 

Smiling, I can’t help but take this minute to bond with him, something about Ryder being different than that of Nathan or Samara or even 

Adrian combined. 

Each one of them will be special. Special just like Adrian and each of them will go on to rule over each of our packs when it becomes their time‘ whispers Artemis both of us just enjoying this moment as I all but breastfeed Ryder.

Chapter 99 

‘Each pack?‘ I move to ask, moving to pat Ryder on the back to remove any air pockets that might have formed once he had his fill of the 

milk. 

‘Yes, Adrian will go on to rule that of the Mystic Shadow Pack, Ryder will go on to rule the Blood Rose Pack and Nathan will rule that of The Silver Moon Pack‘ answers Artemis.
