Out Of Nowhere: Boss, Let Me Go novel Chapter 24

"Ethan Huo."

Cindy, who was held in his arms, looked at the enlarged face above her head as well as the faint smile on his lips.

This scene shocked everyone.

It was Shell Xiao, Michael's assistant, who quarreled with Cindy outside the door just now.

"Mr. Huo, I'm sorry. This lady didn't make an appointment and insisted on seeing you. I tried to stop her, but I failed. I'm sorry."

She bowed and apologized, with tears in her eyes.

She graduated from a third-class university. Shell cherished being able to work in the Huo Group. She was afraid that she would be fired because of her dereliction of duty.

"Ethan, it has nothing to do with her. I broke in by myself."

Cindy knew the struggle at the bottom. She stood up from Ethan's arms.

She always thought for others. Five years had passed, but she still hadn't changed.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat, but his face remained calm.

"You go out first. I have something to talk with this lady." With these words, Ethan turned around and walked back.

"Mr. Huo, Mr. Lin is waiting for you for the matter of Lawrence."

Michael was a little anxious.

The products of acting for Lawrence could reach 10% of the annual profit of the Huo Group. This number was already quite considerable. If Lawrence cancelled the agency unilaterally, the loss the Huo Group would suffer would be unpredictable.

How could Ethan let such a big thing go for this seemingly ordinary woman?

"Got it. Tell Mr. Lin that I'll be there soon. Close the door when you go out." His cold voice was as dignified as usual.

Not daring to say anything more, Michael had to go out and close the door gently.

"Why are you here?"

"Why can't I come here?"

Cindy sneered.

"If you are here to quarrel, I'm sorry. I won't be with you. I have something else to do." Ethan sensed her unfriendly tone and frowned.

"I don't need you to remind me, Ethan. I know you still have a big business to talk about, but you have to deal with my 'trifles' first."

Trifles? What is it?"

Cindy stressed the word, and Ethan's eyes were full of doubts.

Then he smiled.

"I see. You don't have to thank me for that. After all, Jason has called me brother-in-law for so long."

"Ethan, do you think that all of us should be grateful to you for sparing my brother's medical expenses. Let me tell you, you are wrong. It's none of your business."

Cindy's cool eyes were now spurting out a burning flame.

Ethan raised his eyebrows. He didn't expect Cindy to be so aggressive.

"You mean I was wrong?" A low and hoarse voice came out of his throat. Anger was mixed in.

"Of course. Don't think you can be self-righteous to make decisions for others just because you have a few stinky money."

As soon as Cindy finished her words, Ethan's face darkened in an instant. His eyes were as cold as ice, making people dare not look straight at him.

Don't you think you've gone too far?

Looking at Ethan's injured eyes, Cindy's heart ached inexplicably.
