Chapter 348 They Give Each Other the Silent Treatment!
Madelyn couldn't help crying.
She cried very depressed.
In this relationship, she was really too passive.
Madelyn quarreled with Benjamin many times, and she compromised most of the time eventually because of her feelings for him and a sense of guilt. After all, he lost his memory because of her, and he had risked his neck for her once.
So no matter how irritating Charlotte was to her later, she could only choose to forgive.
Otherwise, what else could she do?
Madelyn bent down to pick up the pills one by one and put them in the small bottle.
There were many small white pills.
Madelyn was even thinking, "If I swallow them all, would it be possible to end all of this? Would it be possible to never worry about whether I love Benjamin or not, or to never face his accusations?"
...
Madelyn and Benjamin gave each other the silent treatment, but it didn't affect the children.
Madelyn got up early in the morning.
Opposite, Benjamin came out of the guest room, still wearing last night's clothes. He saw Madelyn's dark circles and said lightly, "I will take Everest to kindergarten in a while."
His simple words made Madelyn know that he was going to be stuck with her.
Madelyn nodded.
She went to make breakfast for the children as usual.
During breakfast, Everest said she wanted Madelyn and Benjamin to send her together.
Madelyn raised her eyes and just looked into Benjamin's gaze.
After a shower, he changed into a formal suit, his eyes slightly deep at this time.
The atmosphere was a bit strange. Madelyn wanted to coax Everest, but Benjamin said suddenly, "It's a rare time. Let's go together! I'll send you back later."
Madelyn was a little surprised, but she still nodded.
Everest looked at them and gently pulled Madelyn's hand. "Do you like the card from Francis and me?"
Madelyn kissed Everest's fair and tender face. "I like it!"
Then she pressed her face to Everest's face and didn't want to move.
Benjamin kept staring at Madelyn.
After breakfast, Madelyn went upstairs to change clothes. She picked a silk shirt and fishtail skirt before taking off her clothes. At that moment, the bedroom door opened.
Benjamin was a little surprised and then slowly closed the door.
Madelyn slowly put on her clothes.
When she bent over, the spine on her fair back protruded slightly, particularly attractive.
Benjamin leaned against the door and said softly, "Paisley said you have an appointment with the doctor!"
Madelyn buttoned the shirt, took her long hair out of the collar, and combed her hair a few times. After all this, she looked up at Benjamin. "I have something to do in a while, so I won't go!"
She thought, "From now on, I won't go there anymore."
After speaking, she walked out of the bedroom and passed Benjamin.
Benjamin grabbed her hand. "Madelyn!"
Madelyn gently broke away from him and said calmly, "Benjamin, enough is enough! There is no need for any of us to force ourselves. Let's live just like now!"
She paused and then continued, "And I respect your choice!"
She was walking in the hallway, and Benjamin's voice came from behind. "I won't let you go!"
"Suit yourself!"
After speaking, Madelyn leaned against the wall for a few seconds.
She thought, "Elizabeth only talked about my past that day, and Benjamin couldn't stand it. He said I don't love him, but he just likes another me, who totally loves him and only belongs to him!"
She smiled mockingly.
When Madelyn arrived at the parking lot, she got in the car.
Instead of sitting in the passenger seat, she sat next to Everest. Along the way, she talked to Everest tenderly and only occasionally chatted with Benjamin about Everest.
The two adults deliberately concealed the silent treatment between them, and Everest certainly couldn't find out for the time being.
Everest got out of the car to go to school.
Benjamin stood side by side with Madelyn, watching Everest enter the school. After a while, Benjamin walked back to the car, opened the door of the driver's seat, and motioned to Madelyn to get in the car.
Madelyn sat in the car and said softly, "Stop at the intersection in front, and I will take a taxi."
Benjamin looked at the road ahead and lit up a cigarette.
"Where to go? I'll drive you there!"
Madelyn told Benjamin the location. He didn't say anything and drove there.
Madelyn thanked him when she got out of the car.
Benjamin gently grabbed her hand and sneered, "Madelyn, we are a married couple. Why do you have to thank me when I give you a ride? Why do you alienate me so much?"
Madelyn sat back in her seat, suppressing her anger.
"Benjamin, if you want to maintain this marriage, then don't speak in a voice dripping with sarcasm! Of course, if you don't want to, you can vent all your dissatisfaction."
There was silence in the car.
